THis is just like the old games, but much better, really fun if you are a original yellow version player like me.

This game is great it brings new Pokemon while still incorporated some from the past. Should've bought this game sooner.

I've been playing Pokemon games since the original Red/Blue came out for Game Boy. This latest installment is outstanding, and may just be the best game in the series to date. The graphics are amazing, there's more to the story than just "become the best trainer," and there are now hundreds of Pokemon for you to choose from when building the perfect team. The new Global Trade System and Wonder Trade features make it incredibly easy to obtain any Pokemon you're after, as you can now trade with anyone in the world.

This is perfect for a kid who likes a different game every other month.

My kid chose this game. He owes me $12 still. But he is enjoying his game, I know because he tells me all the time what thing he caught or what is "evolving". It's like he's speaking another language. I just nod and smile.

This series truly has evolved in each new iteration. The depth of this game is truly seen in the nuances of competitive battling.
