    My kids wanted this for the Switch -- they were excited about playing Pokemon. Neither of them really got into this (they're nine and seven). I guess not the right age or target demographic? Then I got them "Pokemon -- Let's Go Eevee!" and they love it, so that was more the game they were expecting. So I guess I'd just recommend this one to older, more serious gamers who know what they're getting.
