Great remake of the original ruby and sapphire with enough new improvements to make it feel new. It's Pokemon, you either love it or don't

If you've played the original Ruby or Sapphire versions and X or Y you know exactly what to expect. It's Pokémon. There are some neat new additions but nothing truly inspired. Going close to 2 decades and despite the numerous changes the franchise has gone through, the core gameplay is essentially the same. It's not by any means a bad game or is it outwardly offensive in any way. It's just, in every literal sense, more of the same.

When this first came out, I was very excited for it due to how decent Emerald was and fixing some of the lingering issues R/S/E had. However, what I was left with was a bad experience. -On the plus side, the story additions are nice and flesh out several characters that did not get a lot of screentime the first time R/S/E came out. The music remixes are also pretty decent. -Game is way too easy. Even with turning off EXP share and not using the legendary Pokemon that is gifted to you, they nerfed all the challenge that Emerald introduced. -Outside Episode Delta at the end, the game lacks a endgame and reuses content from X/Y and is missing the battle frontier This is unforgivable. -Stuff that was in the original like the game corner have been omitted, and the safari zone is now just a normal route. -The visuals are far worse then X/Y and S/M and look lazily thrown together.

By now, the Pokemon games have it down to a precise formula and it works, the graphics are great and it translates perfectly with DS3XL

This game contains a lot more content post game then other pokemon game I have played. This makes it so that you'll enjoy it longer.

The whale is back, and he is stronger than ever. Love the new features and game mechanics, it does make battles more interesting now.

After getting omega I had to pick this up also. Nephews enjoyed this title and is in constant rotation of games they are playing.

Pokemon games are always good and the fact that it's portable makes it great. If you like pokemon then you'll love this one.

My 7 year old recently got into Pokemon and this was a great game for her to start into the series.

The graphics have been updated substantially and the gameplay is true to form with some minor tweaks. Worth the money.

I love what they have done with this game. I think it had a lot of potential and hype and they have lived up to it. Graphics are amazing and love all the new features.

Thing haven't changed much but this old school game is still fun and ot amazes me how good these graphics are.

This is a classic game but redone for a modern feel. I'm not finished with it yet but I'm having a blast. There are some added features to this game that I don't care for and I think complicate the game but it's fun nonetheless. Buy it!

A lot of people complain about this game having too much water everywhere... But what other pokemon lets you soar above to get to your destination! Best pokemom yet.

Always been a Pokeman fan. My son enjoys these types of games and will continue to play them as long as they exist!

Played the originals back in the day. When I finally played these, the nostalgia remained and brought along all the new features we love. Great game!

Pokemon Sapphire is a must buy for all Pokemon fans with a 3DS. Its even enjoyable for the average gamer ..

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire does a good job of re-creating the addictive nature of the original Pokemon Sapphire; however, there is not much to do once you beat the Elite 4 besides capturing the wide assortment of Legendary Pokemon available in this version.

Really an updated version of pokemon game. Completely different from the one played in my childhood on GBA.
