My 9 year old son loves anything Pokemon. When I gave it to him as a reward for doing good at school, his jaw just dropped and kept saying "I love it!"

The game is much the original Blue/Red editions but with a major face lift and a significantly larger pokedex. It provides hours of fun for my 9 year old.

This is a great DS game - my only complaint is that it is pretty similar to Omega Ruby, so if you already own that one, you may not want this one.

Mu son, who is 7 years old, is obsessed with everything Pokémon. He loves this game. It is difficult enough to keep him engaged but not too difficult.

the game is super nice because right at the beginning you get exp share and you can catch tons of legendary Pokemon from different generations.

There are a whole bunch of new things in this game! And it has like three different stages so it's not a breeze like the older games.

It stays true to the original Sapphire game but it includes some of the new features from the current pokemon games such as mega evolution.

The kids love this, so much so that I had to limit the amount of time they get to play it. However, it's great for long road trips.
