Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the open world concept and not having to only battle to catch pokemon, instead I can just yeet pokeballs at then instead. I played the other games and really miss this feature. Also one of the main clan leaders is cute. - Robert’s daughter

Worth every penny
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best Pokémon has been in a very long time! Don't let the wonky graphics keep you from enjoying this masterpiece. The core gameplay loop is as addictive as it is satisfying. The story feels like they actually put some effort in. And it's plenty challenging to keep you always on your toes!

Great new direction for the series.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Pokémon game of of the decade. The open world aspect is very Breath of the Wild reminiscent. There are some graphical bugs but they do not take away from the gameplay and immersion. This game is not perfect but it is very good for a first attempt at an full open world Pokémon Game.

Best Game Ever!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Pokémon game ever made. Been waiting half my life for GameFreak to finally get it right. Action RPG with awesome game machanics and a fresh spin on a single ever changing idea. Graphics and frame rate are a hot mess but what else could you expect on the Nintendo Switch console :)

Gotta Catch’em All!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Open zone exploration game where you catch and befriend pokemon. Work to complete the Pokédex and requests for villagers native to the region. A refreshing change of pace in the Pokemon franchise that I found to be very enjoyable and relaxing game to play.

A Bold New Direction
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A bold new direction for a Pokemon game, but one that works! It's interesting to see the world from the perspective of a researcher, and it's executed quite well in my personal opinion! Battle mechanics have also been adjusted for this new world, and while a little shocking at times (ie sleeping has been changed to drowsiness and acts similar to paralysis, and frozen has been changed to frostbite and turned to a DoT like a burn), I'd argue that they are easy to adapt to. Battles aren't the focus of the game, however, though there are milestone bosses so be prepared. Most of your time will be spent exploring and working on entries for the pokedex, which is actually far more interesting and motivating than in previous mainline games! This entry is definitely worth giving a try if you want to see a fun twist on a familiar franchise!

Best Pokemon on Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Open world pokemon adventure. My first game in this series and purchased based on pretty much everyone saying that this is the best pokemon available on the switch - so far its quite enjoyable and relaxing to play.

A step in the right direction. Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am absolutely enjoying this game. Endless things to do. Definitely feels like a BOTW + Pokemon mix. Which are two amazing games. Pokedex is huge and the Alpha pokemon are very challenging. There are other additions to fighting like agile/strong moves. Very fun and must try!

Very Fun New Pokemon Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feels like a fresh new adventure for Pokemon, allowing you to freely explore areas, sneak up on pokemon and choose whether to catch them, engage in battle, or leave them be. Pokemon Legends Arceus
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pokemon, that is all you need to know that this is going to be a great game, and it was, the game is extremely fun to play, it works different than normal Pokemon games in how you fight and catch Pokemon, most of the time you are sneaking up on the Pokemon and throwing a pokeball to catch them, you can also battle them to catch them, it is about the average length of most Pokemon games, I finished it in 38 hours, the only thing I have to say is that it is harder than the average pokemon game, you could be 30 levels higher than a wild pokemon and they would hit you with an attack you are resistant to and it would still take out half your hit points, I highly recommend this game, don't ever listen to any reviews that try to say this game and all Pokemon games are bad those people are just trying to destroy a good franchise because they are afraid of these games and how well they always sell.

Good first attempt for the new direction .
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good first attempt for a new direction in the Pokemon games. The game play can be repetitive at times but it keeps you engaged still. The character models look good but the world graphics are ruff at times. When Pokemon are in the distance the frame rate goes to the gutter on their animations but it does not kill the game experience . I've had 2 crashes on my playtrough. Still a good game , hope they keep improving on future games .

Botw meets Pokémon!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a beautiful game that feels like Zelda: Breath of the Wild meets Pokémon. Wide open maps, tasks to keep you busy and a pretty good story. The catch or fight system makes the game challenging as you try to complete your Pokédex quests. Great game!

Truly Legendary
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pokémon Legends: Arceus was awesome! No more turn-based battles. Now it's all about real-time action, adding some serious strategy to every encounter. Sneaking up on wild Pokémon or duking it out with tough opponents feels fresh and exciting every time. Visually, it's a feast for the eyes. On the Nintendo Switch OLED Model, the colors pop, the landscapes are breathtaking, and the characters look sharper than ever. Even on the Lite, it's impressive how much detail they packed in.

Experimental Success But Needs Polish
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who got so into action games that I can hardly stand playing pure turn based games such as Pokemon anymore (which is very sad for me because this was a big part of growing up for me)... This game was great! The action is uh, kinda bad compared to other games I'm used to, such as Ys, Monster Hunter, and Platinum Games, but it suffices, and for the first time in years, I was able to avoid dropping a Pokemon game, because I can just sneak up on pokemon and throw balls at them. This really was the breath of fresh air and innovation that Pokemon's main series needed. Hell, they need it overall because the flow of console spinoff games had dried up for a while, too. And if you don't have my extremely specific problem, you can fight pokemon normally, too, with flawlessly smooth transitions without loading screens, and a few minor twists to the normal battle mechanics to add spice. I wish people would shut up about open world being amazing, though. Graphical prowess is a very low priority on my list, but even I think the world looks incredibly boring. It's kinda just the same few trees, water, and grass everywhere in variable elevations/corridors, with pokemon and items littered about at good intervals. Like, it's not a disaster, but it's far from interesting. Probably would have preferred to have more dedicated smaller stages that don't have to be super detailed like in Monster Hunter Rise. This game is a fantastic start, and I seriously hope they keep going in this direction, because I have no idea if I can go back to the old stuff.
