Its a great change up in terms of pokemon game mechanics. I enjoy the new way of playing a pokemon game, and hope to see more of this style for them soon.

Highly recommend this game , first game in the series that is fully open world, RNG on Pokémon locations and sitings. Tons of hours catching fighting and leveling up Pokémon.. “Gota catch ‘em all”

It’s like playing Breath of the Wild: Pokémon edition. I would say it’s one of the best Pokémon titles available on the switch at the moment

One of the few pokemon as of late to get me really back into the game. While definitely a departure from the normal series, it gives enough variety and change that kept me playing for days.

Worth the buy, great game. Felt like a breathe of fresh air compared to playing the Pokémon games that having been coming out.

I got this game for my daughter and she has been playing it nonstop since she got it, only stopping to sleep and work. She LOVES it and says it is very addicting. Very pleased with this purchase.

Been playing this non stop and having a great time. For those that like catching pokemon and completing tasks this is a great game for that. It’s not like the traditional games and brings a new feel.

Was looking forward to this game since the day got announced. I’m a huge Pokémon fan and was so excited for a new generation of Pokémon games. I can’t help but being incredibly disappointed by this game. It feels incredibly rushed and half developed. I don’t understand why the most profitable franchise in the world still can’t release a full-fledged game that doesn’t have graphics from 2006. What is there is decent it’s a fun game and I refresh in Pokémon game but it just feels incredibly lazy. The game is down right ugly at times and theirs very little excuses when beautiful games such as Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3 and Breath of the Wild look beautiful on the system. All in all this game is not worth the $60 price tag if you can find it for less than that it’s a fun game that should keep you occupied for a while but Its hard to shake the feeling that it is half cooked.

The game has a good story line, well thought out, and is better on the switch due to portability.

This one got a lot of undeserved hate. It's a blast honestly, and one of the view direct sequels where you play as a previous games lead

I love this game so much. It really captures the feeling of being a Pokemon trainer and is possibly the best Pokemon game to come along in years. It really feels like exploring a new land again.

Amazing game, I wish they would make another one in this style, or one where you play as the bad guys or gym leader .

Game is exceptional! First Pokémon game I’ve enjoyed in a long time because it’s DIFFERENT. I really don’t have much more to say because if you like open world games, Pokémon styled, THIS IS IT!

Good game and like the change, but wish they made it longer and added more features. Online battles would be nice and some other features. Not done with the game, but looking to finish it soon.

Don't listen to outside reviews, anybody with negative comments are nitpicky. This is different than your standard Pokemon, and it is really really good. Would recommend to anyone at any age.

My son LOVES this game! He has been playing it everyday. He's 7 years old and has been into Pokemon for almost 2 years. This game is a must for all Pokemon fans.

A1 11/10 - game is a little bit different style from The other games but they did it perfectly. Give it a good hour into the game and you’ll be hooked once you’re past all the set up / intro

Such a new way to play Pokémon and it is absolutely great! It builds upon everything else before it and more!

So much to do in this game, learning more pokemon characters and able to catch them if you can. Lot of quests.
