I don't have anything bad to say about the game. It's a fun, open world pokemoj game in which no pokemon battles are necessary (well, some are, but thats just story progression). This is the step in the right driection that pokemon fames in this day and age needed to take. Five stars for sure, obviously.

    The best Pokemon game yet

This is the best Pokemon game yet. The feudal Japan theming and overall story is great. The open world experience, while not truly "open world," is refreshing and entertaining — it enables engaging replay value deep into the post-game. The wild Pokemon interaction experience is incredible... it's so sad it wasn't brought back for Scarlet/Violet (crossing my fingers that future games embrace this). So many of the typical Pokemon game headaches are simplified if not completely remedied in PLA. So much more good to say about this game. The only downside is how limited the trainer battle system, as well as other aspects of the game are. You can tell this game was developed alongside S/V and that both teams took certain liberties that further fractured the broader Pokemon experience. It may not be perfect, but I think it's way better than Scarlet and Violet.

Good game, but not the pokemon you expected.

This is not a mainline pokemon game, so adjust your expectations. There is no traditional gym challenge and there is a much greater focus on completeing challenges for the pokedex completion. Their is crafting but its a mild presences so if its not your thing it basically optional. Graphics look great and the story is compelling.

Legends Arceus is different from the normal Pokémon games in its open world exploration/catching mechanics/ and overworks dangers. Overall it feels like a mix of Monster Hunter and Breath of the wild. I had a absolute blast playing this and will be putting a lot of hours in to the post game in the future!

Arceus is amazing. It’s been awhile sinde I’ve been excited for a Pokemon game. This game delivers. The Switch graphics and the overall story has sucked me into the universe of Pokemon once again. Loving the mechanics of the game and the old setting. Thanks to Best Buy for delivering this to my home in a day.

I love the open world concept and not having to only battle to catch pokemon, instead I can just yeet pokeballs at then instead. I played the other games and really miss this feature. Also one of the main clan leaders is cute. - Robert’s daughter

Was so excited when I heard this was coming out that I pre-ordered it. And that was definitely the right choice! It’s a mix of the familiar Pokémon you know and the new with the wild Pokémon battles and quests. It’s definitely more challenging than the standard Pokémon game which makes it all the more fun!

The best Pokémon has been in a very long time! Don't let the wonky graphics keep you from enjoying this masterpiece. The core gameplay loop is as addictive as it is satisfying. The story feels like they actually put some effort in. And it's plenty challenging to keep you always on your toes!

Best Pokémon game of of the decade. The open world aspect is very Breath of the Wild reminiscent. There are some graphical bugs but they do not take away from the gameplay and immersion. This game is not perfect but it is very good for a first attempt at an full open world Pokémon Game.

Open world pokemon adventure. My first game in this series and purchased based on pretty much everyone saying that this is the best pokemon available on the switch - so far its quite enjoyable and relaxing to play.

Best Pokémon game ever made. Been waiting half my life for GameFreak to finally get it right. Action RPG with awesome game machanics and a fresh spin on a single ever changing idea. Graphics and frame rate are a hot mess but what else could you expect on the Nintendo Switch console :)

    A Bold New Direction

A bold new direction for a Pokemon game, but one that works! It's interesting to see the world from the perspective of a researcher, and it's executed quite well in my personal opinion! Battle mechanics have also been adjusted for this new world, and while a little shocking at times (ie sleeping has been changed to drowsiness and acts similar to paralysis, and frozen has been changed to frostbite and turned to a DoT like a burn), I'd argue that they are easy to adapt to. Battles aren't the focus of the game, however, though there are milestone bosses so be prepared. Most of your time will be spent exploring and working on entries for the pokedex, which is actually far more interesting and motivating than in previous mainline games! This entry is definitely worth giving a try if you want to see a fun twist on a familiar franchise!

I am absolutely enjoying this game. Endless things to do. Definitely feels like a BOTW + Pokemon mix. Which are two amazing games. Pokedex is huge and the Alpha pokemon are very challenging. There are other additions to fighting like agile/strong moves. Very fun and must try!

Feels like a fresh new adventure for Pokemon, allowing you to freely explore areas, sneak up on pokemon and choose whether to catch them, engage in battle, or leave them be. Fun for newcomers and veterans alike.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus was awesome! No more turn-based battles. Now it's all about real-time action, adding some serious strategy to every encounter. Sneaking up on wild Pokémon or duking it out with tough opponents feels fresh and exciting every time. Visually, it's a feast for the eyes. On the Nintendo Switch OLED Model, the colors pop, the landscapes are breathtaking, and the characters look sharper than ever. Even on the Lite, it's impressive how much detail they packed in.

Pokemon, that is all you need to know that this is going to be a great game, and it was, the game is extremely fun to play, it works different than normal Pokemon games in how you fight and catch Pokemon, most of the time you are sneaking up on the Pokemon and throwing a pokeball to catch them, you can also battle them to catch them, it is about the average length of most Pokemon games, I finished it in 38 hours, the only thing I have to say is that it is harder than the average pokemon game, you could be 30 levels higher than a wild pokemon and they would hit you with an attack you are resistant to and it would still take out half your hit points, I highly recommend this game, don't ever listen to any reviews that try to say this game and all Pokemon games are bad those people are just trying to destroy a good franchise because they are afraid of these games and how well they always sell.
