A good direction for future games
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like this game is under appreciated. It is a different take on the pokemon formula, but in all honestly I like where this is going. I hope future games in the franchise make bolder moves like this game did, I have played Scarlet and I liked Arceus better.

Huge improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fun game and way more engaging than the standard Pokémon game. My 8 year old has loved the new gameplay. Would really benefit from shorter dialogue between characters but otherwise fantastic!

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoying the game far more than I thought I would. I would love to see the main series adapt this style of play the maps are large and open with the only downside that I feel takes away from the experience being that it seems that they aren't all connected and there is a loading screen when leaving the main village. I'm several hours in though and the game is a lot of fun. The visuals and style of play are definitely a step in the right direction for pokemon as a series. I did find some things that I don't like such as the menus and item storage are a little difficult to navigate, your character doesn't seem to be able to cross deep water I'm not sure if that's possible later in the game, and wild Pokémon chase and attack you very frequently which wouldn't be a big deal except it gets rather annoying when your trying to explore and every pokemon you pass chases you down. Overall the game is very good and the new ways to capture and battle make the experience feel fresh, there are no gyms and so far only a few trainer battles. You can honestly spend quite a while in the first area just exploring and capturing pokemon. I definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys pokemon games.

Awesome game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A fun game with a very in-depth story to it. Pokémon fans should rejoice as the franchise brakes away from its classic gameplay originality into something more modern for an rpg classic.

Nostalgic AND New
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So many new features in this installment of the pokemon series while still remaining true to so much of the older games. I'm an original fan since the Red and Blue version Gameboy days and also just a gaming fan in general -- this is exactly what the series needed. Catching pokemon is now fun and even challenging in certain scenarios not because of randomization/luck, but because you literally have to be good with your aim, timing, strategy in doing so. The new features and the 3D landscape make this feel like a brand new experience without losing the feel of what made the series great. Highly suggest.

Just PICKED UP. Here's what I think.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.REALLY great open world experience for the pokemon SAGA. I had played the previous pikachu and pokemon sword, they were Okay but it lacked the real open world feeling. this one is LEGIT 100% the one I was looking for. Lots of things to explore and missions to do. the pokemon battles are really great too. not sure what these critics are talking about.. it's worth it, I recommend hooking up to your 4k or 8k TV to feel the real experience

the botw of pokemon games, and that's a good thing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i'm about 2 hours in and i'm having a blast. this feels like breath of the wild added in pokemon. the starting area has pokemon free roaming everywhere for you to catch outright or battle and catch or battle to defeat. they can also charge at you, as well as run away. graphically it looks great. decent sized pokedex to fill up, tons of missions and side missions, as well as crafting items from things you find in the world. no regrets so far. seems like a game you can spend dozens if not a 100+ hours in if you want to.

Excellent addition to your collection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game because it is open world. If you want to see a vibrant open world Pokémon game, this is an excellent addition to your collection. The Pokémon actually interact with humans. You can sneak around and even do a surprise if you hit them first. GREAT FUN!

Lots of fun! (Despite the graphics)
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pokemon Legends Arceus is a fun new direction of the Pokemon series! Catching and battling Pokemon has never been more enjoyable, especially for the first time in an open world setting. The graphics are not the best, but if you can get past that you'll be rewarded with one of the best experiences this series has had to date.

Great!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although it may not be perfect in every little aspect, overall it's the game I have been waiting for. I have been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue were released, so over the years I have been craving something a little more than the typical format. We got close a couple of times with the GameCube installments, and Let's Go may be the most original thing done to a remake.. but Arceus is something completely new and I am LOVING it. The game plays as a real life scenario with Pokémon, you run around and catch them and can even be attacked by them. This is truly my childhood dream, the most realistic Pokémon game yet.

Finally, a fresh take on the pokemon series.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For long time fans of the series, it will be a blast to play this entry. Think of Pokemon meets Breath of the Wild. The game still captures the fun of capturing and collecting a wide variety of pokemon, but it also captures the dangers of being alone in the wilderness surrounded by creatures that can very easily take you out. Personally. Therefore, you rely on your pokemon not only to harvest materials from the environment, but to also protect you from such dangers. You can also sneak and capture pokemon by catching them unaware, thus skipping combat entirely. I'm hoping for future games that follow this same gameplay formula.
