If you’re a Pokémon fan, you’re curious about a new direction for the franchise, or you enjoy action-RPG mechanics and dynamic combat, then Pokémon Legends Z-A is a strong pick. The fresh battle system and focused setting make it stand out. However — if high-end graphics, huge open worlds, or maximal exploration are must-haves for you — then temper expectations. Also check which Switch model you have: if you’re on the older Switch and graphics/performance matter a lot to you, it may be worth waiting or verifying reviews for your hardware. ⸻ Final verdict Pokémon Legends Z-A is a bold and largely successful step for the franchise: it offers engaging real-time battles, meaningful changes, and a refined urban world to explore. It’s not flawless — its visuals and world scale don’t push as far as some fans hoped — but for its strengths, it delivers a fresh and fun Pokémon experience. I’d give it around 8/10, especially for Switch 2 users, and maybe a 7/10 for original Switch depending on how forgiving you are of graphical compromises.

Bought this game for my boyfriend who has loved pokémon since he was a kid! He loves it and i think it was the best gift ever. The graphics are amazing, it’s a must play!
