The game is great, my children absolutely love it!

Is it worth buying? Yes — with caveats. If you’re a Pokémon fan, you’re curious about a new direction for the franchise, or you enjoy action-RPG mechanics and dynamic combat, then Pokémon Legends Z-A is a strong pick. The fresh battle system and focused setting make it stand out. However — if high-end graphics, huge open worlds, or maximal exploration are must-haves for you — then temper expectations. Also check which Switch model you have: if you’re on the older Switch and graphics/performance matter a lot to you, it may be worth waiting or verifying reviews for your hardware. ⸻ Final verdict Pokémon Legends Z-A is a bold and largely successful step for the franchise: it offers engaging real-time battles, meaningful changes, and a refined urban world to explore. It’s not flawless — its visuals and world scale don’t push as far as some fans hoped — but for its strengths, it delivers a fresh and fun Pokémon experience. I’d give it around 8/10, especially for Switch 2 users, and maybe a 7/10 for original Switch depending on how forgiving you are of graphical compromises.

I the game is fun, like that the Pokemon battles are dynamic and in real time. I like that the game includes new Mega Evolutions and has Alpha pokemon in it. That the megastones are rather easy to obtain, the game has engaging quests and it is easy to navigate the city.

It’s a pretty fun game to play casually. Easy gameplay and you don’t have to grind as much. Haven’t played a Pokemon game since FireRed and LeafGreen so a lot of the stuff and fluff is new to me. There are a few parts that are wack but overall I’m enjoying it so far.

The visuals are gorgeous, the story is richer than ever, and the gameplay feels polished and modern. Mega Evolutions shine, exploration is fun, and the quality-of-life upgrades make this one of the smoothest Pokémon experiences to date. A must-play for any fan!

I love Pokémon, ever since 1998. However this game visuals, story and environmental design all seem lacking. But the gameplay is still so much fun I struggled to put it down... after the two hour tutorial

Pokémon Z-A is a fun and engaging game with great visuals and a well-designed Lumiose City. The addition of Mega Evolution is a huge plus, and the new catch mechanic is interesting once you get the hang of it. Some areas could use more to do, but overall it’s a very enjoyable experience and worth playing.

Not really a fan of pokemon but this game is was my first to ever enjoy this type of games!!! I cought a shiny gastly my first 2 hours of gameplay which are the ods are very low. Now i currently have 3 shiny and i would love to play this game even mkre and 100% complete it.

Despites everyone's misgivings about Nintendo, TPC, and Gamefreak the game is well made with a great single player experience and a better online ranked battle system. While some criticisms are valid and shouldn't be discarded aside it's still well worth a playthrough.

Even though the battle mechanics are different, it’s refreshing to see something new that was inspired by Arceus and Scralet/Violet. The filling in the Poké Dex is still fun with old and new Mega Evolutions! Also the story is enjoyable with references of the previous Pokemons games (character & lore)!

This game is great. The writing is great. The details on the Pokémon are great. I couldn’t give less of a care for some building textures when everything else is pretty awesome. Don’t single out the negatives people. Exceptionally when the highs are so good.

This Pokemon game is fun! Battle mechanics are just what this franchise needed. Everyone's worried about graphics but this game has the best graphics of any 3d Pokemon game. Stop complaining about everything and play the dang game!

Great game, bought as a gift and my nephew is loving it! Best Buy did a great job getting the game to me quickly and in great condition.

Great game. Complete different than all prior Pokemon games. I recommend it just for being different that the usual turn based games. E For Everyone.

Loved the idea of where the game was staged, and unique battle system. I did feel the Pokémon in the game were very limiting (especially certain typings). If you're into shiny hunting, I recommend the switch 2 as well for faster reloads of zones.
