After playing sword and shield, first Pokémon game, the controls get a little bit of time to get used to. Still enjoy the game.

I love Pokémon and was really excited to find out it sucked. Played just like the Nintendo DS game. If you still have your DS, play that.

The fights are nothing like the real pokemon games. This is a glorified Pokemon Go where you get Pikachu as your first pokemon.

The game is fun, but way too short. If you have played Pokemon yellow in the past, it is essentially the same story line with different mechanics.

Good Kanto remakes, gets boring once you’ve beat the game and filled the Pokédex. Great for shiny hunting.

My kids love this game and have been playing it every chance they get since getting it.

This game is for casuals and newcomers. It not for veteran of series because it doesn't improve what fire red/leaf green or heart gold did years ago. And it just to easy. The graphic is the only improvement. I would recommend this game for those who are new to series.

Visually, this game is gorgeous. Gameplay-wise, this game is over simplified to cater to a mobile gaming audience and requires absolutely no skill or critical thinking. It's bereft of any semblance of fun. Leveling up and strengthening Pokemon lacks the depth of previous titles. If you want a game that will not challenge you at all and you can press a single button to "win", then this game is for you.

I understand removing the random encounters and I agree with that, but why removing the battles with wild pokemon from the game? That was the while point of the game, leveling up your pokemon as you go through the adventure battling wild pokemon. Aa soon as I realized this, the game had no more reason to be played.

Good game and something to hold you over until the main line Pokemon game comes out.

In this newest addition to the Pokemon franchise they have added many new additions to support unique, fun uses of the capabilities of the switch in order to give the series a much needed revitalization to keep the series from becoming stale.
