I picked this up for my kid and they instantly fell in love. The story seems similar to the red and blue version of the game boy. With this in mind even for me as an adult I find it fun getting to relive it with all the fun options that have been added over the years and a few new ones as well.

I purchased the bundle with the pokeball, but needed a second for a friend's son who's a big fan of the anime, never played any of the pokemon series game, never played Pokemon Go and loves his switch. This game is doing a great job of getting him hooked for when the mainstream game comes out.

This game is just like the classics, but finally refreshed with some this gen graphics. Some newer mechanics sure, but don’t forget this is made for the kids and kids at heart. This is as classic as Japanese RPG games can get. It’s a must have for the kids and for anyone a fan of the series.

This game is definitely tons of fun and cute! Something you can play to temporarily escape the fact that you’re currently stuck at home and also fun for your kids to play as well!! Add the little Pokemon ball controller and it’s that much more fun for everyone!

Blend of pokemon go and pokemon handheld games. Nice not to have to battle pokemon as you catch them, but can be challenging as you use up a lot of pokeballs to catch stronger pokemon. You also get to see the pokemon wander before you encounter them, no more random encounters!

This is a great game for small children. My son is 5 years old and loves playing it. It helps him to learn to read as a side bonus. I suggest getting it with the Pokeball controller. Keeps him engaged for a while. I like to join on the fun too every once in a while.

It's like playing the old game boy color games. The one thing missing is playing combat with the wild pokemon. Instead you just catch the wild pokemon. You DO get the experience catching them but its not the same. I hope in future installments that they restore that feature.

A rewind for many people who have played the original game from the past. This game is worth playing it as it can bring nostalgia to those who played it before and also entertaining to those who are playing it for the first time.

This game has Nostalgia paired with real improvements on the original. The new wild pokemon encounters streamline the most grind driven parts of the game and let you spend more time doing what you want to do whether it be Shiny hunting, leveling up, or trying to Catch all the pokemon

This game is a lot of fun and a good throwback to gen 1 Pokémon. The catching mechanics can be frustrating at times becuse the switch does not have good motion controls. The game is also very easy. Great for new fans and younger kids as well as veterans to the series. Very cute game but not the best Pokémon experience. Worth plaging but not a must play.

The latest Pokemon games were pretty good. They had decent story, very similar to Pokemon Yellow. However, the game ended very quickly, and there is little to do after becoming the champion. If you are willing to spend hours attempting to catch Pokemon without battling, this is the game for you. Also this game is relatively easy to complete the Pokedex, so I recommend you try if you've been frustrated that there are now 800+ Pokemon to catalog.

Let's Go, Pikachu for the Nintendo Switch was the perfect gift for my partner who loves playing Pokemon Go. It's very interactive with the Pokemon and it gets passed from kids to adults to immerse themselves in the world of Pokemon. The graphics are good, game speed is relaxing.

Pokémon has gotten too complicated over the years. The Let’s Go games simplify the Pokémon experience in such a way that’s inviting to newcomers, yet still fun for the seasoned Pokémon master. Bonus, if you play Pokémon Go, this game directly connects to that experience.

Played this game on the Yellow Pikachu gameboy color years ago. This has the same basic setup, but with pretty graphics along with Pokemon GO catch mechanics. Big problem with this game is that you cannot backup your saved data to the cloud, or a micro SD card. I paid for Nintendo’s online membership just to back up my data because my switch had a problem and needed to be returned. Guess what, your saved data cannot leave that switch. So if it breaks you have to service it through Nintendo if you want to keep your data. That assumes Nintendo wont wipe your data if they try to fix it. That is basically what you are getting. Is it worth the $65 they charging ... no. However, I got mine on sale for 45 plus tax which is still too high. This is really a 30$ game. However, it is fun to play, and you can play multiplayer on the same system. The switch Joy con set can be shared to play with an additional person. However, multiplayer is a bit of an afterthought, the second player has to follow where the main player goes no matter what. It will switch to the next screen even if you doing something. Well the core game is fun to play which is the most important part. I do not think it has online multiplayer either which is bad.

I bought this game as a early Christmas present for my son. He loves it and even got my wife and I to play it. It's not complicated at all and a great overall family game. I recommend purchasing the pokeball plus controller for the simple fact your child will get an unlocked Mew

I really enjoyed playing this, as a fan of the Pokemon Go app myself! The ability to manuever pokemon between both, along with going on the original adventure in the Kanto region, really brought back some memories. Looking forward to enjoying more Pokemon games on the switch!
