Nintendo hasn't really improve on the original formula that much but it is improved graphic. There's nothing here that will excite a seasoned gamer. But the nostalgic factor is real.

played pokemon yellow when I was little, bought this game to play through memory lane. Although the minigames are removed other features added such as riding any pokemon and no need to sacrifice a move slot for given moves (cut, surf).

I love it! Is similar at BDSP. You need this game in your live.

It’s Pokémon, it’s good if you like Pokémon. So what else is there to say

This game will serve as a good introduction to newer generation of Pokémon players who have mostly or only played Pokémon go. It’s not a full on RPG experience, so don’t expect a full recreation of Pokémon Yellow’s gameplay mechanics.

My Granddaughter loves anything Pokemon. We picked up the Pikachu switch game for her birthday. She loves the game & so do her siblings

This game will bring you back to when you first played Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow (Mostly Yellow). I have played many hours of this and I can say that it is worth every penny for any Pokemon Fan! It connects with Pokemon GO as well.

I love this game so much. I enjoy playing it after a long day. I really like that the grind of having to fight to gain levels has been replaced with catching pokemon among the many other additions like not wasting move slots on HMs.

I wanted to buy this game ever since there was a sale a few years ago and now it’s on sale again and got it, so I have finally completed my collection

Not sure if you can still get it with the pokeball plus, but the game controls better without the motion controls. I love all the Pokémon games and this was no exception, but if you’re not a fan I’m not sure this will bring you in.

Reviews like to emphasize that the game is easy compared to the original games it's based on, but it's a friendlier experience for young and casual fans. If you've never played a Pokemon game. This is a great place to start!

My son loves this game gets excited every time he catches a new pokemon

I am really enjoying this game. Its just as good as the original pokemon blue/red/yellow. I love that you can trade pokemon from pokemon go to the game after you get so far.

Pokemon games are awesome, the exploration gets bigger and bigger. Grabbed this more for a collection display than to play. They usually don't go on sale so grab while you can.

I have been a gamer for years but never found interest in Pokémon. This game is actually very fun and relaxing. Recommend to people who never played Pokémon before.

Game is really fun. Not a typical pokemon game but it is still fun to play.

Super happy I purchase this. Its similar to the old version, but new enough you feel great about spending 50-60 bucks on it. ha. Recommend to any Pokemon fans, Even my 5 year old daughter can play this!

An alright game, and doing stuff with Pikachu is cute. Graphics are nice as well. The Pokemon Go-esque controls in battle weren't necessary, and they're awkward with both a joy con and the pokeball controller. Despite my complaints I did enjoy the game, though I don't feel like it got the same level of love as other gen 1 games.
