Could use more of an update
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is the same game from before I was in middle school, if you like Pokémon, you will definitely be into it, it is slightly disappointing they didn’t go the full extra mile for what the switch is capable, but it is truly the first competent home console Pokémon RPG!

A breath of fresh air
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is beautiful, it's incredible to walk around have the Pokemon just be there. It's refreshing to not have to grind so much to get the Pokemon you really want! Don't fall into the trap of listening to people that are too negative about this game. Give it a try!

Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to play the yellow red and blue on the game boy. I really like how they stuck with the original and some new Pokemon and kept it simple and classic with a few modern things. I like playing on the switch better than the TV as catching Pokemon seems a bit harder.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 7 year old loves this game. It’s perfect for this age and, when paired with the pokeball controller make for a really fun experience. It’s just the right amount of difficulty to keep his interest. I also enjoy playing with him a little bit too!

Lots of Nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game definitely blew me out of the water. I thought it was going to be way too easy, but honestly it was just about the same difficulty as some other Pokemon games, and the new mechanics were a great way to breathe fresh life into a classic iteration of Pokemon.

Pokemon
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game stays true to the original 151 and kanto region. Mechanics have changed with no battling of Wild pokemon and no random encounters. The game feels very familiar, but is extremely easy due to new mechanisms. Worth the buy if you are craving pokemon.

Great game for Pokémon Lovers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I fell in love with this game because it makes your Pokémon Experience Seem so real! Graphics are really good. Pickachu is the best, cutest side kick you could ever have! I Highly recommend this Game. Great for single player only, not for multiple players.

Addicting!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is almost exactly like the old gameboy games except obviously better graphics and you can see the wild Pokémon on screen as they roam the tall grass, etc. Also, catching Pokémon is almost exactly like Pokémon Go. Still a fun and addictive game!

A great reimagining of a Gameboy classic!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great reimagining of a Gameboy classic! Graphics and sound have been updated but they still have that classic Nintendo and Pokemon charm. I haven't beaten it yet but so far it's been worth every penny.

Fun but wished you battle Pokémon to catch them
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun game. Nostalgia. Personally I believe it’s a small downfall that you don’t battle the Pokémon to catch them like in the original game, you just catch them like in Pokémon GO. I play Pokémon GO pretty much everyday on my phone so I don’t really feel like having to catch them the same way in the game. Otherwise the game is fun.

A different (nice) take on the game we used 2 love
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this isn't the same as the one you played around '98. It is a revamped version wich does not have HM (instead they have techniques), does not have the safari zone, does not have the PC (now you have everything on the bag) and most important the wild pokemon are not battled, they need to be calmed and then you throw a pokeball (very similar to pokemon go), gym battles and battles with the NPCs are still there, a really good addition is that someone can join you as a support trainer and they can walk with you (but no interactions with anything) and battle with you (assist you) which is pretty awesome since I am introducing my 4yo daugther to pokemon and I can show her where to go or help her with the battles.

Companion Game to Pokémon Go App
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you play Pokémon Go (phone app game), and have access to a NintendoSwitch (console or lite), use this Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu to act as a companion game to the app. This game will help you obtain extra/additional candies for MelMetal (Pokémon monster) that is an advantage exclusive to players who have synchronized their Pokémon Go app to this NintendoSwitch game.

Different...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was different than I thought it be. I heard it was going to be similar to Pokemon Go which was true however after playing it. It's a nice refreshing change compared to the classic pokemon gameplay. It feels nice to have a pokemon follow you around.

Great for Pokemon Fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good pick up if you are looking for the nostalgia of the old Pokemon games. I love the new features added too like dressing up your Pikachu/Eevee. Good for beginners and long time fans. Makes a great gift as well.

Great way to escape the world
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this game, I have completed it and the game plays beautifully. I can highly recommend this. I am not a pro gamer and the difficulty was not too hard, so it should be fine for kids too.

Glad Surprise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant about getting this Pokemon game, given that it is only a "temporary" game prior to the full release of the next iteration. However, the game really surprised me. It is fun, with nice graphics. However, there are no battles with wild pokemon before catching them and you're unable to play with a full controller, you either play with the joycons attached or with a single joycon dettached.

Another great Pokémon game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though this is the 3rd remaster of the Red and blue games, this is actually the yellow version remake. Don’t let the kid-like visuals fool you as for any Pokémon game. If you enjoyed RBY, you’ll welcome this addition. I personally like this art direction better than the new Sword and Shield (but I love them nonetheless). There’s a new way to catch Pokémon, by just throwing pokéballs! If you’ve played the Go game from the app store for your phone, you know what to do. I’ve never accustomed to playing the game in docked mode as my throwing skills are just not good. I prefer playing it in handheld mode. Much easier catching Pokémon. Anyways, I think this is a great title very welcoming to new players, and nostalgic and a wonderful replay of RBY versions.
