No random encounters, Gyms are basically the same. I like it more than the same copy pasted stuff we have had for years.

Color, graphics great. Only big difference between this and old version is you no longer fight wild pokemon. You just catch them like Pokemon Go to increase your pokemon. Takes some getting used to. So far I like it though.

The remake that Kanto needed. While its a lot easier than the original games, The graphics are outstanding.

I have played quite a bit since I got the game. I got it as a companion to my Pokémon go accounts. There is a bit of a learning curve for using the controllers. They are small. Which isn’t necessarily bad just different. I didn’t expect to be battling as much as I am in the game. You really need to know your Pokémon and their move sets. I haven’t gotten to where I want to go yet. The map isn’t as helpful as I think it should be. But the information I have sought out online isn’t either. Overall so far the game is ok. I wish there was something else to do besides just catch and battle. I think it would have been a better game if it helped educate you on the Pokémon as well.

Perfect game to buy after purchasing your nintendo switch. Great gift for adults or kids.
