Great throwback with new features

I've been playing the games since the start and this one does a great job of bringing out nostalgia while not feeling stale like a direct copy of the original. The new wild Pokemon catching style is a lot of fun with a joy con. Being able to see and avoid Pokemon in the wild keeps the pacing quick to get you to the trainer battles faster when you want to.

Good for fans of Pokemon Go

It does get tedious, though, with battle after battle or pokemon constantly running into you as you try to navigate the map.
