This is a great way to go back and play the first pokemon, with some new quality of life additions. My only complaint is the control style can be strange depending on how you wish to play. Pokeball makes it easier to catch but can be hard to maneuver. The joy con is pretty simple but harder to throw pokeballs. handheld mode is great, and about the best compromise for moving and catching pokemon. Love the pokemon go connection so it makes it easy to fill your pokedex quickly.

If you played pokemon yellow, the environment is similar, but the whole mechanics helps streamline your pokemon experience.

It's a remake of Pokemon Yellow but with Pokemon Go catching mechanics. Personally I think the game is too easy and with how many times I've played the original first generation pokemon games and Fire Red on the GBA I'm kind of tired at this point of revisiting Kanto and feel no more nostalgia for it so I'm kind of bias against it. I think visually it looks alright and the music is great but I prefer being able to catch Pokemon by battling them. The new rival is pretty lame too not really sure why they had to make up a new one for this game. The Pokeball controller is kind of a fun novelty but I don't use it much unlike the Pokewalker with Soul Silver.

The bundle is worth buying to have the Pokémon ball. The Pokémon ball makes playing the game better. Love the game so much!

I enjoy the pokemon games. I really like that I can leave certain ones in my safari area and get a meltan box every 7 days!

This is a must have if you are Pokémon fan. The new interface and poke ball plus makes this more fun than previous version.

Classic Pokémon game with a new twist. It’s far easier to catch shiny Pokémon. The pokeball makes the game even better

Got this for my son for Christmas. Reviews look great and I think it will be too! I almost can’t wait to play it myself!!!

This game is very nostalgic from the Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow series. New mechanics that is easy to learn and fun to play

This game is excellent for a child getting into pokemon. The ball allows for interactive play and movement

Pokemon is always fun to play. Finding the different types of wild pokemon is exciting. They are all so cute. The only drawback would be the PokeBall. I really don't use it. But the game itself is good, just plays better in handheld mode.

Wasn't sure about this game whtn they announced it, but afted it release the best remake of a saga with so much history!

I’m very much enjoyed this game. The pokeball throwing mechanics is perfect for a small child just learning about games.

Went into this thinking it was going to be a drag turns out game freak smacked me in the face with one heck of a remake.

This is not the traditional pokemon game you might be used to, but it is still a lot of fun. The graphics are nice. The game is vivid and the world is colorful and looks very nice. Playing with Pikachu/Eevee is a fun little addition. Gameplay wise this game is very easy, it is easy enough for new pokemon players to get into it. Catching pokemon like on pokemon go will be familiar to younger kids seeing as most of them are starting off pokemon with pokemon go now.
