Remakes that are actually good!

My first Pokemon game since Yellow

Then I got the impulse to play one when Pokemon Go made it all-around socially acceptable. I was afraid this game would have too many features and would drown a rusty RPG player like myself. Quite the opposite. It introduces features slowly, but surely, and I don't feel like I'm neglecting any of those features after about 15 hours of game time. Overall, this game is a blast and the visuals are fantastic for such a portable game. I can't wait to finish this and play the next one.
