It was the best way for pokemon to step into the future. Unfortunately you can tell the age of the Switch with the lagging in the game. I understand that Nintendo is not about the latest and greatest when it comes to graphics but they need to do something to improve.

Outside of the bugs & lack of polish this game is great! Loads of fun and has a lot of additions they learned from past successes. It's a great addition to the Pokemon franchise & should get way more play time then it does now.

I absolutely love pokemon but this game is beyond sad. While the new pokemon, crystal mechanic, and story are extremely fun/addicting the preformance issues can make the game unbearable. From dropped frame rates to game freezes, and falling through map Im beyond disappointed developers thought this was ready for release much less charging customers $60 for it. At this point the game feels like its in a beta and theyre using us as the testers while charging for a complete game.

Excellent game! I love I can let my Pokémon loose to battle with out having to go into traditional battle mode. The new Pokémon are interesting to see as wll lol

This gamevis kind of like Zeldas breathe of the wild free roam and the classic pokemon games. Its awesome!

Love me some Pokemon. This is a fun generation as well.

As a main title Pokemon game, this is unacceptable. The game is rushed and clearly not finished. The overworld is empty and lifeless, there are too many cutscenes that takes way too long, as well as the loading times in between gameplay and cutscenes is absolutely slow, and the elephant in the room, the performance issue. This game is extremely LAGGY. The game received a day one patch, and even with that, it is still horrendous. It is unlikely that they will be fixed and I would not hold my breath for it. Do yourself a favor and turn around and keep on playing Legends instead, or other previous titles because compare to this game, they run better.

Amazing game with great options to start your adventure! Crashed once but since the update it has been working fine. I am enjoying exploring the new area and definitely recommend giving this game a try.

It's rather buggy and lags a lot when there's a lot going on at once on the screen. Regardless, this is one of the best Pokémon games I've played; the visuals are gorgeous, the open world is wonderful, the new Pokémon are abundant and several of them have become new favorites for me, and there's a decent challenge element as well. The devs should have taken a few more months to streamline it, but this is still an excellent game.

This game is made by less than people to keep the "Indie" feeling vibe at GameFreak in just less than a year. The game is even a stepback from Legends Of Arceus that the mediocre graphics and techincalities of LoA makes it look better than this game. This game was rushed to coincide with the TCG cards, anime, and merchandise for the Holidays. Its full of bugs its not even funny. 3DS pokemon games performs better than this game that other games that could handle the Switch like Zenoblde 3, Breath of the Wild, Doom, Monster Hunter games, an other open world on Switch that have more beef in graphic department runs better. If you will keep buying Pokemon every year, then you are no better than gamers that buys yearly rehash games of Madden, NBA, NHL, or any sports game. Heck, even Call of Duty gotten a little better this year's installment coz the devs lisntened to the fans. If you wanna be a GameFreak cuck than so be it.

Man addition to my son’s Christmas gift this year. He loves Pokemon and will be so excited!

Still playable without performance patch. But if youve played any other pokemon open world titles, its a pretty sad step backwards.

I bought the digital version and it didn't even take 10 minutes into the game until I experienced graphical errors and the laughably low frame rate among other problems.

I didnt have any real issues with glitches but it tried to do too much and the gyms and rival are too easy. Beating the league felt lame and there is other things to do and even to get the special event 7 star raid battles you have to do a ridiculous amount of stuff post game. Cant tranafer in all of the old pokemon either. Lame game

I love Pokemon. I’ve been playing since R/B/G. This is by far the worst Pokemon game I’ve ever played. Why are we hoping for patches and being okay with being served this absolute garbage on launch? I had such hope for this game after playing Arceus. These games are not worth $60 and I will be returning both of them.

I feel the game is all cut scenes and less game play. They need to do kess cut scenes and more gameplay.
