Definitely one of my favorite pokemon games on the market before the switch

It's a great game but is held back by the Switch's lack luster performance.

Very good and fun game. It had a well developed story and overall fun to play.

There are real problems with the game and slowing down, and as is normal for Pokemon they're removed good ideas (and Pokemon) that were in the previous game (Arceus.) However this game is still quite enjoyable and let's you wander almost everywhere, taking on challenges at your pace and in what order you like. The stories may not weave together well, but on their own are all welcome in the game.

Could use a few patch updates to fix bugs, but it's still fun and a good change of pace.

Pokemon its always the best game to get with more open is a no brainer

Best pokemon game in terms of gameplay and fun factor. Bugs need to be patched though

Great game I recently just got back into Nintendo and I am in love with this game!! It's definitely different from the late 90s early 00s OG games but it's great and worth a shot if you are a pokemon fan or just want some nostalgia with an update on graphics.

Kid loves the game has many new iteams and hidden objectives a good game for a kid our adult

Overall solid game when it came out it had some bugs but its pretty solid now

Fantastic pokemon game! It does have quite a few bugs that some people may feel is game breaking or ruins the immersion. I didn't come across too many of these in my 1000+ hrs in the game.

Bought this game for my nephew for Christmas and within a few hours I could tell it was one of his favorite gifts this year. He was playing it on and off the rest of the day and then the next two days after whenever he had a free moment. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on the game, but honestly watching him play it mad me want to buy a copy for myself to play.

My boys have loved this game, we've spent far too many hours playing it. Loved the bb drive up it's so convenient

First fully open world pokemon game is as advertised. The issues i have with the game im not sure if its the engine used to create it or the system its being played on. You will be running through an area when things magically pop up on your character triggering battles you didnt even know about. Maybe some updates will help it in the future but i dont know for sure.

Overall this game was an adventure however lots of things could have been done better, like how I’m assuming they didn’t add shirt customization to save time, but it was still a huge inconvenience. Overall I enjoyed the stories versatility. Being able to ride your Pokémon is a great exploration mechanic and saved me a lot of time that could be better spent.

I find this game incredibly fun, i cant put it down. However the performance is inexcusable in its current state. This is the largest grossing media franchise ever, and they certainly have the capital to better optimize their flagship game. I’m hopeful patches are in the works because this game will be one of my all time favorites if they can fix the performance

As someone who last played Pokémon silver this was an amazing experience and can’t wait to see what Nintendo and the creators of Pokémon do next to really expand on a open world immersed experience
