Bought this copy for my son who have never played Pokemon before but loves dinosaurs. Then I bought Violet for myself. He loves seeing all the different pokemon and exploring together. Gameplay was fun and even though he is 6 he was able to understand and get pretty far on his own.

It was an actual attempt to make it an open world more so than the lazy GTA trilogy upgrade. It is an actual good game, but the constant technical problems really hold this back. I recommend waiting a little longer until the updates fix the major issues.

Amazing game! I played it for 24 hours straight, would definitely play it again and would highly suggest it for anyone new to pokemon

I remember playing the red and blue titles on the original Gameboy when I was a kid but to see and play these new Pokemon titles on the new OLED Nintendo Switch I bought at best buy as well brings back that nestalgia from when I was a kid love pokemon violet and scarlet.

I have almost beat the game, 45+ hours. and the only problem I have had is framerate drops. No falling through maps, no crashes nothing. I get that not every playthrough is going to be the same. But I feel like NO ONE has had the smooth, chill experience I did. Maybe im lucky or just dont know how to video game properly...

My son likes it and it was right on time. He confirmed that it was his best Christmas gift ever.

This fantastic world has many hollow points, including the town design and performance issues. Aside from that, it may be the best story in the 3D era of Pokemon, with a very respectable pokedex. There is much fun to be had in this flawed game.

It’s a new way of playing Pokémon I’m used to old school running through grass and just coming in contact with a any Pokémon in this game you can see the Pokémon before you run into them other then that it is like the old Pokémon games with new twists

This game is great! While I personally believe that the Devs created/tested the game using a more powerful switch, the is still tons of fun! You can do any badge or evil team leader in any order you want and visit any part of the map you want without having to do anything in a specific order. 9/10!

Very fun game, and worth the price. You can spend a lot of time shiny hunting. A little buggy due to the open world environment

Another good game from pokemon with lots of hours to play. Very similar gameplay to Violet. Scarlet seems to offer more kinds of pokemon, but overall good gameplay.

Great game and current latest version out so far. Map is big and side quests are great as well. Love the fact that it is compatible with the new switch 2 console.

You get what you want, you just don’t get it in a well running package. Reminds me a lot of early ps3/360 performance. Still a pretty good tome over all! Catch it on a sale if you can

Great game, great overworld, better story than previous Pokemon games. Enjoyable and fun through-and-through. Can be buggy and run poorly at times, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far

Grandson wanted this for his birthday. Everyone else did not have it in stock, but Best Buy did not disappoint as they had multiple copies. Needless to say our grandson was excited.

Haven’t played a Pokémon game in almost 1 years so it’s been a bit of a learning curve with all the new types, however I do enjoy the open world and the challenge as a beginner again.

Honestly, this is the most time I have sunk into a Pokemon game since I was a kid. I know there are some framerate issues and the game doesn't look immaculate, but I honestly don't care and it doesn't bother me one bit. It looks much better than Arceus still and that came out just earlier this year. I enjoy the new pokemon that came out in this generation (Maybe not most of their shinies, but that's not incredibly important). I also love how we can join another person's world as that was fun in completing the pokedex instead of just trading the Pokemon's. I would highly recommend it for new and old poke trainers alike!

It's a solid game with great gameplay mechanics. There are some things that I wish it had though like more character customization. Performance issues are the one thing that's holding it back. I would recommend this game but it comes with a huge asterisk next to it.

I was highly recommend this game by many people including family, I finally got it and played it, as a Pokemon fan I love the game and the new changes it brings to Pokemon, it also was fun playing it with a friend and being able to trade Pokemon I couldn’t on my game with them.
