It's definitely different from the late 90s early 00s OG games but it's great and worth a shot if you are a pokemon fan or just want some nostalgia with an update on graphics.

However this game is still quite enjoyable and let's you wander almost everywhere, taking on challenges at your pace and in what order you like. The stories may not weave together well, but on their own are all welcome in the game.

That being said, there are still alot of glaring issues like perfomance and the cities in the open world just dont feel all that “alive”. I an also rarely in the cities and spend most of the time in the open world. Hopefully a patch can fix some of these issues.

Fresh storyline, new Pokemon, and captivating battles. Pokemon Scarlet's performance is a letdown. Lag, frame drops, and occasional freezes hinder the experience. Disappointing for a highly anticipated game. Hoping for updates to address these issues.

It does have quite a few bugs that some people may feel is game breaking or ruins the immersion. I didn't come across too many of these in my 1000+ hrs in the game.
