This is the first pokemon game I have played since Gold and Silver. I am really enjoying this game and even got my brother to purchase the Sword edition!

My daughter is a big fan of Pokémon. That being said, she really liked the graphics and the game play of this game. She preferred this game over some other Pokémon games we had purchased in the past.

There are some pretty amazing new ideas in Pokemon Shield, but they lack polish. The Wild Area and Raid Battles are fantastic additions. Towns, however, lack a lot of exploration from past games and I can't say I like many of the new monsters. Still, this is a good Pokemon game. Not the best, but far, FAR from the worst.

I think would have preferred a less repetitive overworld but the change to a fully open world is a needed change. Also seeing PKMNs do whatever in full 3D is amazing to watch.

My son loves this game. He has played a lot, but did beat it in 4 days. He goes back to play it, but considering I payed $60 for this game, I would have thought it would be longer.

Best Pokemon game ever. I’ve been playing since the original red and blue. The DLCs are worth it. I love the wild area play style. Only complaint is that they didn’t do that throughout.

If you’re into this genre, you will not be disappointed! The game is entertaining and captivating! I wish the price of Nintendo switch games would go down (as one pays a premium for their games).

One of the best looking Pokémon games. Saw this was on sale decided to pick it up. I know it’s been out for a while but still found it to be a great game

I'm enjoying this one greatly, I think I'm about 50 hours in and not super near the end, I'm just having fun going all over the Galar region and catching Pokemon :)

Lots of Pokemon to catch. Lots of battles to be had. If you like the old games, you should like this one. The loss of the national dex kinda stinks but it's not like we don't have plenty to keep us busy.

I love it. Pokémon has always been something I love and this game is very fun as you can expect from Pokémon. The games are always just supposed to be fun and this game accomplishes that in my opinion.

Fun update on the old games. There's a ton of exposition in the beginning that's kind of slow but it's a good game and Best Buy made it easy to buy & pick up.

This is my favorite Pokemon game since it was on handheld consoles. I love the game and the Pokemon, I love the wild area multiplayer integration. Overall, a great game that's fun and relaxing to play!

It's a great game to sink a ton of hours into! The wild area in the game is like nothing we've seen in a pokemon game before and its a lot of fun! They did cut out about 500 pokemon but I think they are adding at least 300 of those back into an expansion pass. Overall, a great experience that keeps on giving.

I liked the game despite the negative comments and fan base. I wish it had more of the 150 original, but for it being a new region I liked it, story wasn’t superb, but the online raids are fun!

The title says it all. The only reason I’m knocking it a star is because there’s really no reason to get sword and shield. Yes, they have some differences in the unique Pokémon you can get. But not enough for me to justify spending 60 more dollars. If it was a standalone game, it would be five stars.

Put about 8 hours in so far and its pretty good. First Pokemon game since I was a kid besides the Lets go games and I'm enjoying it much more than the Lets go games.

Many of us were hoping the game would be revolutionary with the Pokemon franchise getting a proper release on a home console only to find out its rather iterative. The graphics are unimpressive and not much has been added beyond new pokemon (while loosing prior ones). Its still a solid pokemon title.

Bought this for my niece and she loved it. Now she can play with me and her other aunt. She loves camping in the wild area. This was a great choice for a 6 year old.

Fun game! The prices are slowly killing me but it absolutely could be worse. I love the graphics of the newer Pokémon games so I'm always excited when a new one comes out. Naturally I don't love that all of the Pokémon I love are available in it but beggars can't be choosers.
