I love the game. Still playing it. I bought the Sword game for my sister. She loves it too.

Love the game it reminds me of the original game with better graphics

The game is great, and I wish I can just finish my review here. Excellent selection of available pokemon with the DLC pack (30$), otherwise I would consider any newcomer interested in this game to wait for discounts. Gigantimax the new mechanic introduces another new and fast way to play pokemon solo or with friends. The Link battle system is well done and the switch is capable of handling the sync really well. I am 10+hrs in and still focuses on getting all my pokemon in the 1st big exploration area.

Great Pokémon game, always loved Pokémon since I was a kid and having the game be open world is amazing to me.

My kids like the new Pokemon, they say they're really cool. They say the game is really fun and the max raid battles. The graphics are good. They do wish that all Pokemon were in the game, that's why they gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Pokémon has become too easy of a game with these additions. The games were much more difficult in the past. It’s worth purchasing if you’ll be playing online as well. Aside from that single player may not be the best investment.

Purchased this game for a gift for my children. Will update review in a month on how it is going. It is their first switch.

Just started but the game is great so far. Different from older pokemkn games but I enjoy the open world concept of the game.

This game was very highly anticipated and we ordered it with the companion Sword. The Pokemon games are very well designed and entertaining.

This game has restored my faith in the Pokemon games. I was severely getting burnt out playing games that could should of received DLC like White/Black, and Sun/Moon just to name the ones that had better gameplay with the secondary versions. The DLC completely enhances the game and I don't have to regrind the game but if I wanted to I can take a DynaAdventures Legendary Pokemon with me to smash through everything in a day.

An absolute blast to play, loved playing Pokemon Sword so I got Shield to try it out as well. And I love it

Catch the nice price. The game with DLC is interesting. Already play the sword. Shield can bring some other pokemons. Good!

This game surprised me with its graphics and usability. Pleasant for people of all ages and stages of gaming good storyline and characters.

My friends son loved it. It was on his Christmas list. He only had 2 things on the list and this was one of them.

Feels just like the series you either loved or hated if you still enjoy playing Pokémon you’ll like it. But if you didn’t like how the series was going and stopped playing your probably won’t feel and different than when you stopped.

Coming from my middle-schooler, this is a great game. She's glad she got the Shield version because of certain Pokemon she wanted as well.

Game is fun and well done. My son loves the game,my he switch is easier and less hassle than a play station or x box.

Way too easy and feels rushed. Basically an upscaled 3DS game. Bad performance (the game lags a TON if you connect online, and experiences slowdown in lots of other areas), no voice acting, bad online (GTS removed), not much content (over half the pokemon are cut, and they haven't really added much to make up for it). There's better RPGs out there for your money, I'd only recommend this game if you're a huge Stockholm syndrome pokemon fan (who is still buying the games despite not being as pleased with them like me) or if you're fine paying $60 (plus $30 for the upcoming DLC that added the absent postgame) for a 3DS game
