Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with Pokémon's engaging gameplay, captivating story, and expansive Wild Area. Many praise the game's ease of use and accessibility, while also enjoying the open-world exploration and additional downloadable content. Some players, however, found the game's challenge level to be too simple and expressed concerns about the number of Pokémon available and the overall amount of content. Despite these criticisms, the positive feedback on various aspects of the game is significant.

Best Pokemon game in years

Fun game
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think it's a good game. Some may say it doesn't live up to previous Pokémon games. I have not played too many of them so I can't comment on that, I can just say that so far I am enjoying this one.

Pokémon shield
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is almost the same as Pokémon sword, same story line. It has some different characters and Pokémons but if you’re trying to buy both sword and shield I recommend just buying one.

Fun
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this game for myself and my best friend. I absolutely love the content in the game, as well as the new expansions they added. If you’re a fan of Pokémon, or even if you’re not, it’s still a game you can play. It’s easy to go through, but very enjoyable for veterans or older players(like myself). The graphics are great as well. Although mainly a solo game like any other Pokémon main series, they included some co-op/multiplayer options which I found really fun.

It’s alright
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's alright. For long-time fans, it will seem full of unnecessary, childish features and mini-games (play with your Pokémon, cook, wardrobes, etc.) It is also easier, there are too many ways to heal your Pokémon, and the storyline is relatively short. It is disappointing that most Pokémon are not present. It's certainly great to be able to play on a large screen with a controller. That's about it in the pros department.

Solid Pokemon game
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not crazy about this game like other people. I think it was a solid Pokemon game that was overall enjoyable. I felt that the story was weak and the game felt very repetitive at times. I would still recommend it.

It's Still a Good Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So a lot of hardcore enthusiast have been freaking out and I can understand why - when this game was revealed it was hyped up to be a sort of Pokemon version of Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey with amazing open world graphics. However it doesn't look like that at all, it really looks more like the 3DS games just ported to the Switch. That is kind of disappointing, but honestly I don't play Pokemon for the graphics. The core elements of Pokemon are there and are implemented well, I like that gym battles return over the island challenges of gen 7. It's definitely a solid, very good entry in the series that mixes new ideas with series staples, and I think people wouldn't be so up in arms if game freak didn't make it seem like the graphics would be stellar.

Great Story!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this isn’t the best pokemon game, this has an amazing open world feature and a lot of replay ability after the post game.

Disappointing, but still fun
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun for a little while. The world really isn't as big as it could have been. Main story is really short. Overall difficulty level is too easy.

A switch must have game

Super fun with endless things to do
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was very fun and I enjoy every bits of it. The new pokemons along with several of the previous pokemons from previous versions makes the game more nostalgic. This game also has "surprise trading" which I think is really great, pretty much like gambling. They made this game more connected with the community if you have a Nintendo switch online subscription. So many things to do, I can't wait to beat this game and try and capture the legendaries.

From Skeptic, to Fan (Again)
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When Pokemon Shield was announced, I was so so so excited to have a main-line Pokemon game on my Nintendo Switch, but when it was announced that not all Pokemon would be included in the new game, I cancelled my pre-order in protest. But... I couldn't resist. I've now been playing it for 25+ hours and I have been very impressed by all of the quality of life improvements there are. The game has been so fun to play and I've been able to find ways to keep it challenging throughout my play through.
