Kid loves playing this, great features, can’t wait for more to come out

Not the best in the series but old fans will feel at home.

Pretty limited in features in scope to be frank. I had high hopes for an "open world" Pokemon game on the switch. There are open world zones but they're quite barren other than Pokemon walking around. The cities are fixed perspective, no free camera and quite small / bare.

This is the worst Pokemon game ever. As someone who has played every mainline entry since the original Pokemon Red and Blue, I am particularly disappointed to see the quality of Pokemon games declining for the past few years. First, over 60% of all Pokemon have been cut and do not appear in any playable form in this game. All previous starters except the Charizard line and all previous legendaries, for example, have been removed by Game Freak. Game Freak's excuses are also unforgivable. The Pokemon models and animations are the same as those since Pokemon X and Y. The Nintendo 64 game Pokemon Stadium has superior, livelier animations than this Switch game. And they are charging $20 dollars for less Pokemon, costly Internet, and recycled models.

Got it for my boy for Xmas. He likes it. He really likes it.

Sadly this game was a disappointment to me. I bought it thinking I would enjoy the nostalgia of pokemon from my childhood; however, this was not the case. This got dull fast! I wish they would do something new with the franchise, but it is stuck in a rut.

No reason this couldn't release on DS line of handhelds.

What could have been an amazing game was just another good game. There are a lot of pokemon that were not included, im sure they will be added as paid DLC, that has soured some of the reaction for this game. I only bought it because I got a really good deal on it.

It feels like the developers are getting lazy knowing that people will buy anything that has the Pokemon name on it. Feels like the series has gotten stagnant for a very long time. I'm hoping the next release is much better than this.
