This is the Pokémon game I was asking for since I was 11-13 years old. This game is everyone Pokémon should be from a console version. I can’t wait for more games to release in the near future.

I was thinking this this would be to difficult fo a 11 years old boy but he seems to have a great time with it i do recommend for the collection cause there are many different game to chose from.

Loved to hate the game, but ultimately it's a Pokemon game. Despite all the hand holding and easy leveling... if you focus on building a team you enjoy using, you'll have tons of fun. Only things I wish they changed were more out-of-pokeball areas as well as the national dex.

Played Shield so I’m now going to try sword. I love the graphics and the storyline. I like that you do not have to rush thru the gyms. Take your time and build your team.

Very conflicted with this game. I’ve always been a fan of the Pokémon games and played up until about Pearl/Diamond and then again with Let’s Go - Pikachu (also conflicted). I have to say my favorites are Kanto/Johto, honestly, but this game intrigued me with how far it’s come in graphics, animations and play-style (some areas really good, other areas hilariously and unforgivably bad). Pros -Graphics (also com) look stunning, especially how detailed the town looks and the wild area -how the Pokémon are running around in the wild and interact with the player Cons -the trading system is the worst kind of trading system I have ever seen. It makes the 90’s era Pokémon games’ trading system look like a futuristic system -graphics in some area looks like Nintendo 64 graphics haha -overall game is way too easy and dumbed down. I have been playing Pokémon games since their release in 96! this is an outstanding game! you actually feel like you are in the Pokémon world!

I've been playing since gen 1 and this is actually a really fantastic Pokemon game that gives crystal a run for it's money. It is slightly repetitive but the wealth of mechanics really liven it up.

It was a fun game, it’s a bummer that you need to pay for expansions to play the entire game. I enjoy playing with my buddies son when I’m babysitting him.

Super fun game, can't go wrong!! I played through Shield already but naturally need to complete both. Get it when it goes down to $40 though, as each expansion pass is $30. :-)

An amazing game to play, with the new dlcs and return of past legendary Pokémon, made the game ten times more enjoyable to hunt for shiny Pokémon.

The Wild Area is an exciting innovation for the stagnant series, but feels like an unfinished demo for a true console Pokémon game that isn’t here. You end up with a typical, delightful, handheld-oriented Pokémon experience boosted by a bittersweet taste of the series’ more adventurous future.

If you like Pokemon you've got to play this game. The game is fun and brings me back to being a kid again. They've made some really fun upgrades to when I was 10 and playing on a GameBoy Color!

Love this game, bought this after beating shield. I only got shield first so i could have Arcanine on my team. This game is just as good, just no Arcanine.

Waited forever to play a new gen Pokemon game and the original feeling is still there! Paired with POkemon HOME to transfer from GO and you have an entirely new experience.

Pokemon will always be known by almost everybody and this version is exceptional as always when it comes to Pokemon games. Lots to do and always good replay value with expansion passes!

Everybody likes to talk down on the current state of the series, but I like the direction the games are headed. I loved this title & can’t wait for the next.

Really good game, a little lacking in the post game, but the main game is pretty good. Plus if you’re willing to keep playing there’ll be enough to occupy you for a long time.

The first Pokemon entry for consoles is finally here. And while this one might have zero major upgrades from past entries, what it does provide is more great Pokemon action for fans of the series and new Pokemon gamers alike. Recommended for anyone who wants a little collectin', fightin', cute monster ranglin' action.

This game brings nostalgia of when Pokemon first came out on TV seeing the first generation of Pokémon’s. Now, after years of this franchise it still brings joy having able to play this game.

If you know you don’t like Pokémon, then you probably won’t like it. If you’re not sure, or if you you you do like Pokémon, it’s a fun game. Lots of small improvements that make the overall experience better. Some people don’t like the cut of the dex, but it really doesn’t matter, and the game does well as it is.
