Great Game if you have not played the original. Not much new otherwise.

Interesting concept that incorporates day and night cycles. Great for fans of the franchise.

I found this to be a fun game, however it was too similar to Pokemon Sun in my opinion.

Boring, not much too it, formula has run stale....

I don't get the infatuation with it but my son loves it. That's all that matter.

Wanted to get into the newest Pokémon game but this one didn’t quite grab me.

Game Freak doubles down on the worst aspects of recent Pokemon by adding more unnecessary story details without a skip scene function and pads it out even more. Creating an inferior Sun and Moon in the process.

I've owned this game in the past but I ordered this game on June 20 something and it shipped until July 5th and I still do not have it...it's been stuck since.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter's boyfriend but he ended up getting a new handheld gaming system instead. So I returned it and bought another.

Pokemon is kind of lame, and the formula hasn't been updated much.

Taking the traditional addictive gameplay and introducing a number of quality life improvements over the last generation make this the best refinement of the series yet. From visual improvments, such as moree realistically proportioned characters and a smarter camera which gives a better indication of the surrouundings, to the lower screen map (why did it take this long?) and lack of HMs (replaced with ridable Pokemon), your Pokemon-hunting mission is better than ever. The gym system is replaced by trials. Even if they usually boil down to simply defeating pokemon and trainers, there's usually some unique mechanic tied to starting the battles, such as cooking up a stew, or taking pictures of ghosts which can only be seen using a special camera. Much like the creative gyms of X/Y, each feels like you're doing something unique, even if it is mostly just window dressing. The only downside is the clothing options. Some of the more outlandish clothing options, like punk clothes, torn graments, and crop tops. Instead, everything feels like they could come from the same store, and approved by schools for use as uniforms. It's a small complaint, but as NPCs have access to these outfits, it would be nice to give us the option to dress the way we want. With the Pokedex now topping just over 800, you've got a lot of critters to catch. Luckily you can import your past catches through the Pokemon Bank and Transporter, though there is a yearly subscription fee that must be paid. The campaign is fairly robust, and there is a lot to do once you finish it. Very highly recommended. It's just a shame this is the last Pokemon game to be released for the 3DS. At least it's ending on a high point, and will keep us busy until the next proper installment reaches the Switch next year.
