Violet or Scarlet?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't choose which to go with so we bought both. They are pretty much the same. Keeps you busy and its great if you like doing online raids. I haven't been able to get it connected to pokemon go for some reason but I'll keep trying. Other than that its great! You can play with friends but no chat feature but I'm sure there is a way around that I just haven't figured it out yet. I did have to get nintendo online subscription in order to play with my friends but it was only thirty something dollars for the year so not bad at all. Beware time flies so fast while playing.. hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

For the open world experience - its solid
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who has grown with the franchise I think I’m able to render a fair verdict on Pokémon games. This game has some stunning visuals and the open world experience does make it a little more immersive. However, the battle mechanics common to that of Pokémon Legends Arceus (being able to simply catch Pokémon without battling, quick access bag, and having other wild pokemon engage in battle, etc.) has me left with this empty feeling. While the game progressed in some aspects regarding quality of life, it clearly regressed in others, which has proven to be rather disappointing.

Great Game. Held back by Hardware.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good game. Love the multiple story arcs that can be done as you please. Do wish that it didn't run so poorly on Nintendo's hardware.

Best pokemon release
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pokemon game has been one of the best in the entire franchise with its outstanding story writing and competitive availability for people who want to get into that. There have been minor performance issues but I put that blame on the hardware much more than the game software. A brand new open world pokemon game that you will put many hours into for lots of adventure and fun.

Violet Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s been a while since I’ve played a Pokemon game and Violet did not disappoint me. The open world is refreshing and I personally enjoy most of the new Pokemon. The late game keeps you hooked for a good amount of time. This game does have its fair of issues that I mostly overlooked. It can get frustrating waiting for the raid matchmaking to finally stabilize and work in your favor. Overall, I would give this game a 8/10.

Great, but also not so great…
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been playing Pokémon since I could remember and it’s nice to see how advanced the game has gotten through the years. Although this game specifically kinda felt a little rushed and could use some cosmetic work. Don’t get me wrong, the whole gameplay and story was *chef’s kiss*, but there are some glitches and such that could be fixed. When playing through, some of the transitions would take longer than others and it would often times leave me thinking my game crashed. There are also some bugs with some of the characters like Ms. Raifort’s hair doing a little bit too much on its own. The game also seemed a little bit more easier to play through than before. I found myself blowing through the Elite Four whereas in other games it would take more of a fight and a few black outs to the PokéCenter before finally beating them, especially with the “champion”. Overall though, the game is so good. I love the side quests and the picnics are a great alternative being that I get to breed my Pokémon and interact with them more. The scenic views are great and it also had a great plot twists in the story. I’ve finished the main story, but I have yet to go through all the gym leaders again, finish up some classes, and complete my Pokédex, but still a great game.
