I’ve been playing Pokémon since I could remember and it’s nice to see how advanced the game has gotten through the years. Although this game specifically kinda felt a little rushed and could use some cosmetic work. Don’t get me wrong, the whole gameplay and story was *chef’s kiss*, but there are some glitches and such that could be fixed. When playing through, some of the transitions would take longer than others and it would often times leave me thinking my game crashed. There are also some bugs with some of the characters like Ms. Raifort’s hair doing a little bit too much on its own. The game also seemed a little bit more easier to play through than before. I found myself blowing through the Elite Four whereas in other games it would take more of a fight and a few black outs to the PokéCenter before finally beating them, especially with the “champion”. Overall though, the game is so good. I love the side quests and the picnics are a great alternative being that I get to breed my Pokémon and interact with them more. The scenic views are great and it also had a great plot twists in the story. I’ve finished the main story, but I have yet to go through all the gym leaders again, finish up some classes, and complete my Pokédex, but still a great game.

Technically this purchase was a Christmas gift as I already own it digitally. I wish I could give this a 4.5 as it’s better than a 4 yet not quite a 5 star game. This despite all of its flaws is the most fun Pokémon game I’ve played in years. This start is a bit slow but 1-2 hrs in the game becomes so good you overlook the frame rate, glitches, etc. Simplg put it’s fun.

i’ve played pokémon literally my entire life. i absolutely love it. i’ve had every single game, watched every single movie, and had MANY cards over the years. i definitely like the classics more. the new pokémon games seem to be reaching a little too extra in terms of tetralyzing and raid battles. this game IS fun. there’s a lot to do and so many new pokémon. however, i still miss the old games. this is a good pass-time and even after finishing the games there are many things you can do. it really is endless.

Game play is similar to Zelda but it’s Pokémon! Definitely more story play than the other Pokémon games on switch.

Pokemon isnthe largest waste of a goldmine to ever exist. Nintendo squandered the greatest potential to ever exist all in the name of greed. Greed which has cost them untold amounts of wealth. Pokemon mmo rpg on every platform with a monthly subscription of 5usd. Full world multi starter points insane battle systems. No gimic bs just good old pokemon.

Probably the best 3D Pokémon game in recent memory. Definitely outperforms Sword and Shield. While I'm still a bit disappointed that the Pokédex here is gimped, the variety of the ones that made it in and the charm of the new fellers more than makes up for it. Love the open world design of the game and the non-linear progression. It's a nice way to shake up the usual formula. Have been on-off addicted to the game since I got it, and I've recommended it to anyone who's interested in the franchise.

Pokemon violet is a triumphant addition to the franchise, blending nostalgia with refreshing innovations. Its immersive open-world design, diverse Pokemon roster, and captivating narrative offer an enthralling experience. With polished gameplay mechanics and stunning visuals, Scarlet seamlessly bridges the gap between classic charm and modern gaming allure

So I went into this purchase expecting a sloppy, underperforming, buggy mess. Now, while there's some truth to that, I actually really enjoy this game. There's a lot here and a ton of new mechanics at play. While yes there are some performance issues, it's not impossible to overlook, and appreciate the experience. There's a lot here to enjoy and it seems Gamefreak are heading in a good direction. Perhaps a few more months in the oven was needed with this though.
