I highly recommend reading the directions. Not necessarily user friendly per se, but workable once you get a hang of what order to press the buttons. The caloric read out is incredibly accurate compared with other monitors. Waist strap is comfortable, watch itself is flexible and not heavy at all.

I've been a Polar user for years, so I purchased this basic running watch as a gift for my father who recently completed cardiac rehab after a valve transplant. His doctor gave him the okay to get back in to running as long as he monitors his heart rate. He hates running on the treadmill, so this watch gives him the freedom run outdoors while continuing to keep his doctor happy. Nothing fancy, just a good reliable running watch w/HRM.

Wear it when working out. Great for tracking heart rate with direct heart display. Strap is a little big.

Bought this for my wife as a replacement for the first one she had of the exact same model so I guess being a repeat customer is a good sign. I would recommend this to someone looking for a solid heart rate monitor watch that calculates calories, time in zone, and heart rate max and average. The only downside to it is it doesn't always pick up the heart rate signal or it will drop it during the middle of a workout. Doesn't happen often (maybe every few weeks), but losing any data is frustrating especially when you track calories, nutrition information, calories burned, etc. like my wife and I do. We have been on a regular fitness program for over a year trying to achieve our health goals and this monitor/watch combo has been a big part of it, but the lost data is annoying. Other than that this is a great product.

This watch is a great product. It's useful and can track time, calories burned, heart rate.

I love the improved version of this product. I use to have the F6 and it worked well however the heart sensor was big and uncomfortable. With the FT4 it's smaller and way more comfortable. It's still easy to use like the others and the price is great for what you get.

I am biking and try to increase my performance, and Polar monitoring help a lot.

This watch is used during my zumba, spinning, and other cardio workouts. It helps me keep a closer eye on my Heart rate all while monitoring how many calories I've burned! Great purchase and would definitely recommend!

Works well easy to use does what it's suppose to. Heart monitor barley noticeable.

I bought this HR monitor on the recommendation of a friend at the gym we attend. We are focusing more on HR intervals and maximums and it's an annoyance to try to stop and count it out during a workout, and on sale this is a great basic HR monitor. I am a smaller-framed woman and this "men's" HR monitor works just fine for me. Pretty basic, not Bluetooth or connectivity. It does make little annoying sounds reminiscent of early video games when you are outside of your target HR, but this can also be turned off (and I actually want that auditory cue).

So, I was a bit skeptical at first purchasing this but once I programmed it and set it, it has worked fantastic. This monitor even works with my gym's treadmill so I can see my heart rate on the readout when using it. I'd recommend this to all of my friends who want to keep track of their progress when working out. I even bought one for my girlfriend so she can keep track as well.
