This is a Great HR monitor for any exercise, I use it with my Insanity workouts and it is awesome! personaltrainer.com Website is awesome for all your data input. It is a manually input, but it takes no more than 3 min to do it. This is a great product from the best HR monitor company....Polar !!

I have worn Polar HRM's for 15 years. They are great when new but after about two years they become less reliable even with new batteries. For the price, I would like to see at least 5 years use before having to get a new one. I am 69 and run 6 days a week so the HRM gets a lot of use.

I have had this HRM and watch for about a month, works well so far. There have been a few times when it takes a couple tries to get the HRM to register on the watch, but not enough to make me return it. So far I like it.

I'm a NASM certified personal trainer and I wanted to be able to have a rough approx of how many calories my routines were burning. So after some careful review I ended up purchasing the Polar FT7. The FT4 would have been fine but what sold me on the 7 was the ability to change the battery yourself. For me this alone was worth the extra cost vs having to ship it off anytime the battery died. As for the battery lifespan thusfar, I have been using the unit around 5 hours a week for almost 6 months and it's still on the factory battery in both the chest strap and watch. The unit itself is super easy to set up and get started. The chest strap is much more comfortable than I expected it to be also. Somrtimes I forget it's even on. The one major drawback I've had with the FT7 so far though is that sometimes during my workouts, the HRM will pause, which is why I gave it an "average" rating for reliability and accuracy of reading. I did however discover that this was IMO a design flaw, not a technical issue. I was wearing the watch on my right wrist and sometimes when I was in a prone position (just for push ups or during burpees) the pause button would push itself against my wrist. I have since switched the watch to my left wrist and it hasn't happened yet so that might be the way to go. All in all this is a solid product for the price point and I'm pleased I picked it up!

I bought this watch to manage my heart rate during workouts. It's been 3 weeks and it is the best investment that I've made. It automatically syncs with the cardio equipment at my gym. It is also reasonably priced.

Love the accuracy and display of the Polar FT7. Can also use the transmitter to work with the polar app on the iPhone. Good price for a very nice product.

Watch is definitely more accurate for heart monitoring and exercising. No need to charge, not as easy to use as Fitbit but if your serious it's much better!

I'm a crossfitter and had no idea how much I was actually burning doing the workouts. The watch has been great, I know which movements get my HR pumping. It does take some getting used to wearing the HR monitor, but after a couple of times using it you won't really notice it. But it can become unhooked (burpees aren't fun anyway, avoid them if you can ;). I am a female user (didn't like the bright colors on the women's watches), so women do have an advantage since you can tuck the HR monitor right below the bottom of your sports bra. That's helped keep the monitor in place.

Overall good product, but if you're doing excercise where you are on the ground the monitor may get in your way due to its size. Very accurate readings.

I purchased the Polar FT7 heart rate monitor and fitness watch to use during my spin classes. It gives an accurate reading for heart rate and calories burned based on your specific numbers (age, height, weight, etc.) The band is fairly comfortable and the watch is actually pretty cute. I use it ALL the time and absolutely love it. The only thing is that setting it up and going through the data is a bit tricky, the instruction manual isn't very helpful.

I love it for my workouts. Keeps track of my heart rate, calories burned and the exact minutes. Tells me when I am burning fat, and when I am working my heart. I do wish it synced with the app provided so I could use it with an app. All I can do is look at the watch and it only keeps track for about a week

The product was okay. It's smaller than I anticipated. The buttons was kinda hard to press for me but it's easy to figure it out . I haven't tried to work out with it but so far it's good

The instructions could be easier to follow that accompany the watch, as well as the on line manual from the company's website. It isvery confusing to a nontech savy person such as myself

I ordered one from Amazon and it arrived defective. I needed to start my workout with this item so went to Best Buy and paid the extra $40 so I could get started with what my Dr. wanted me to do. The monitor works well and talks well with the cardio equipment at my gym. Happy with the item, not the price. On a side note, get an extra chest strap so you can keep them clean.

The Polar is comfortable, visually pleasing, and very useful. I use it during my workouts or walks around the town. Fantastic for keeping count of calorie burn! The chest strap is even comfortable! I don't even remember I have it on.

This is by far the best heart rate monitor I've used. I work out a lot and it never disappoints. I'm always sad when I forget it at home. I sweat a lot and it's water resistant. This is a definite buy for those who workout a lot.
