I love it but then it has its flaws, it's perfect for tracking heart rate but taking the battery out is such a killer, it's terrible I've had to go to several people to help take the back off I've destroyed the back and now geek squad cannot help me. It's a terrible thought out idea. Wish it was screwed instead of "inserting" a coin to twist #fail

    Polar HRM

These bluetooth HRM work great when everything is working. Sometimes it will loose connection or not connect for a few minutes. Make sure you wear for about 5-10 minutes before you workout to "wake it up". Battery life about a month of working out everyday.

I purchased this for my wife to use with her iphone 6. The connection process to the iphone worked flawlessly and it synced well with all of her favorite fitness apps. The only complaint she had was the connection while using the app was intermittent. If you want to spend $50, I would recommend the Magellan line of products.

    Great Device with Battery Flaws

I purchased this monitor a month ago and love everything about it, with one exception. I use the band for about 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, during my weight lifting sessions. To this day, I've had to change the battery twice. I do dismantle the device from the band after each use, so this isn't the problem. I purchased a stock of batteries on Amazon to keep in my bag. What is even more irritating, there is no warning when the battery goes low.. the first time it died I was in the middle of a squat session.. today it died about 5 minutes into my workout. There's got to be a better option!

I really was looking to keep this item, had to return it after trying it and noticed that the band would not fit me properly. Guess I have to loose more weight before trying to buy it again.

First one worked great but only for a few weeks. Returned it and got another. So far it's working. As long as its operational I love it. I pair it with iPhone for spin classes. Hope it lasts

I bought this item to track my runnings, when i start often before getting a stable reading, in the first 5 minutes the signal jumps up and down, so i dont know what is really going on. Then it stabilizes itself and works as supposed to.

    Short life span

The life span of the heart chest strap is shorter than the watch. You will have to by the strap ($15-$25) and put the Bluetooth back on it and use with your watch. Life span is about 200 hours of workouts.

This bluetooh heart monitor has been OK, but nothing to be a big fan of. It connects easily with most applications on your smartphone and because it is 'smart bluetooth' it has a good battery life. The down side if the heart rate reading can be flaky and not accurate, for whatever reasons I can figure out. Usually you have to disconnect the monitor from the chest strap and reattach it again and it will return to normal. Also, the Polar application that comes with it isn't really that good. So I give it average overall, but if they could fix the 'random' readings that shoot my heart rate up to 180 and then back down to 70 while doing exactly the same thing during the reading, then I would upgrade my rating.

I like this product!!! I use it every workout and it helps me determine if I need to push farther or stay at the same pace for my heart rate to be in the best work out mode for weight loss!!!!

This heart rate sensor does the job. I returned it because I found another available ANT+ HR sensor that also had Bluetooth capability, for much cheaper. Didn't have any issues with this sensor other than lack of capabilities for the high price. I returned it, saved $35, and got more out of my last purchase. Wouldn't recommend this only because there's cheaper and better out in the market, but Polar does make solid equipment.

Doesn't work in water/swimming. The band slips a lot. Weak signal strength forces you to workout with your phone on your body. The reason we purchased this item was it was a requirement for a college fitness course. If we knew how inadequate it was, maybe the instructor could have selected another brand.

Remember - NOT for Android; iPhone 4 & up ONLY

This is a targeted product to those who are already running an exercise tracking app on their iPhone. Bluetooth Smart is a misleading name; it has no similarity to Bluetooth. (Other names for BT-smart are Bluetooth Lite or BT-Low Energy). The transmitter stays on until you unsnap the module from the strap, so unless you have stock in CR2025 battery suppliers, don't forget to dismantle it. If you want an Android-compatible HRM, go with Polar Wearlink+ or Zephyr BT (not BTE!). Finally, ALL BT or BTE HRMs are "line of sight". You will need to keep your phone in front of you - in a pocket or mounted on handlebars.
