Nice comfortable heart rate monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the H7 and it works like a charm every time. My iPhone app (Polar Beat) had no problems connecting to the HRM and giving an accurate BPM. The H7 HRM strap does not track mileage or calories but strictly monitors your heart rate and communicates this information to another Bluetooth device (such as your smartphone or watch) and that device passes the information to the app. In my case, my H7 connects to my iPhone and relays the HRM data to my Polar Beat app.

Satisfied customer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this HRM. I got the polar ft4 which is the watch and h1 heart rate monitor which has no bluetooth, but then I decided to get the Polar loop. I needed the h7 to work with the loop. I really like the h7 because you get so much information (like HR each second) during your workout than you get from the h1 and watch. (You would have to buy flowlink to get the HR per second with the h1 and watch). I also use this to monitor my heart rate and calorie burn while playing volleyball. It works pretty well. Sometimes the Polar Beat application stops tracking the heart rate, but I use Polar beat and Endomondo at the same time so if Polar beat fails Endomondo is my backup.

Great heart rate monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Timex watch with a heart strap monitor but the monitor stopped working. While I waited for a replacement from Timex, I bought the Polar sensor. I really like having the Polar because I can use my iPhone and the apps to monitor my heart rate. The downside is that I have to use my phone to get the info I want. A watch is much more immediate vs. the phone. Sometimes I forget to change my settings on my phone to not auto lock and then mid exercise I have to open my phone and go to the app. But the phone gives the information on a big phone screen vs. the watch's small gray screen. The app also saves the info and can be uploaded to a user account, which is easier to navigate than a watch. The app also has many more categories and options in how to extract info from your workouts. I like knowing how many calories I burned and the Polar app easily gives me that info. The strap is not the best. I felt that my Timex strap fit better but it did not always stay connected, which is contrary. I have to adjust the Polar strap more often but I have not had an incident where there wasn't a reading. The reason I'm giving it four and not five stars is because I had to learn how to use the polar monitor from the internet and not from the docs that came with the Polar. The instructions were very basic. Maybe I'm not as savvy as other users, but I am use to things working "right out the box" and instructions being clear to get. My Timex watch was very easy to figure out right out the box, but not the polar. I went to the Polar site and it was not easy to navigate because they have so many products. Finally I found my product but I did not get the info I needed. I needed to know how to use the Polar monitor with my iPhone and it was not easy to get that info. I had to search the Apple Store to see which apps would work with it. There were several options and it wasn't very clear which apps would work with it other than the polar app itself. Luckily I found a website that reviewed which apps are best to use with the Polar monitor. From there I downloaded a couple different apps and picked the one I liked, which is coincidentally the Polar app. I wish that it was easier to use right from the box. But now I am pretty savy with it and I really like it. My Timex is my back up now. The polar has good range when in the gym. I have not lost connection with it yet. I have used it riding a bike in the gym and out in the community. I like that I can access my phone's gps to keep track of my rides in the community. The app also can sync to a device called a stride, which I have not bought. But it is an option that I can look into, which is cool. The original price was near $80 but I was able to get it on sale for $45. I don't know if I would recommend it for $80 but definitely at about $50. The bad thing about the polar monitor is if your phone is not charged then you cannot use it. It syncs with machines in the gym but you lose any ability to save your info if your phone is not around. I am notorious for my phone not being charged so there is that. I have had to charge my phone at the gym and stay near my phone, which was a drag, but I did not lose connection, which was a positive.

Chest Strap HRM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart HRM is accurate and pairs easily with my smartphone fitness apps. I got this to replace a coded chest strap HRM from Polar that I have used for 4+ years that paired with my Polar FT4 watch and with treadmills. Until a reliable wrist watch HRM is available, I'll be using the H7 as my go to HRM

Easy to Pair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried another Heart rate monitor, but required a bluetooth connector to pair my iPhone 6 Plus. It was disconnecting many times. Reading reviews i decide to try the Polar H7. Is accurate, reliable, easy to pair and it works with all apps I have installed. Great item

Upgraded strap from H1, connects to Polar app
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a HRM strap & watch combo that syncs to the Polar app, but unfortunately the (H1) strap that is included with most of the Polar HRM watches is a lower model and does not have the capability to sync with the Polar app. So I had to purchase this (H7) strap separately and additionally to the Polar FT4. While this H7 strap does give me the capability to sync to the app it still only provides very basic data and does not provide the level of information I am looking for nor offer the features I could only get from a more advanced model watch. Also, it does not sync to the desktop website so apparently there is yet another additional component that I need to purchase (Flow Link/Flow Sync?). I'm not happy that my purchase has now double-tripled in cost with all of the separate components I now have to purchase.

Great for keeping track of my exercises
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this heart rate monitor so that I could keep track of the exercises I have been doing for my fitness class. This BT heart rate monitor works great in conjunction with the free app they provide. I've used it for both indoor and outdoor exercise and it has helped me ensure that I am putting enough effort into my exercises and that I am hitting my target HR. The only problem I have had with it is sometimes I had some trouble getting it to connect to my phone while outdoors, but I can usually fix this by toggling my phone's BT radio off then on again. I recommend this product to anyone going into fitness. Don't forget to moisten the contacts. ;-)

OK Heart Rate Monitor at a decent price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this for several weeks and found that the monitor seems accurate. As with most chest strap based monitors, I find that unless I really get my chest and the monitor really wet before I start running, the readings are erratic and all over the place until I work up a good sweat. The bluetooth link to my iPhone 4S seems to work pretty well, but I have had issues with the link to Gym Equipment and even an older Polar watch -- after several minutes the connection is lost to the Gym Equipment and/or the Polar watch. As I have read other reviews, I would have liked a full featured IOS app to go with this Heart Monitor and not have to purchase an "Upgrade" from their software. I tried this with RunKeeper, Polar Beat, DigiFit and Wahoo Fitness and ended up purchasing the upgraded for DigiBit because it seemed to offer the best features for Heart Rate Zone training. If Polar could make an IOS app that rivals fitness watches, and include some kind of code/credit in the package this would be an ideal purchase.

Works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I misplaced the chest strap for my Polar HR monitor and this was an expensive replacement (I could have bought another HRM for about the same price). But, it works. Certain positions in hot yoga or weight lifting (bending forward) will cause it to give me a "00" reading but overall I get an accurate reading for my workouts. I have needed to use the Bluetooth feature with my phone on occasion when I've forgotten my wrist monitor at home, and it synced perfectly with the Polar app on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5).

Great for use with treadmill or smartphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item to replace my Garmin heart sensor, Garmin uses the ANT technology which makes it a little more complicated as far as connective, for my iPhone I had to purchase a separate ANT connector. The Polar Bluetooth is way better since you do not need anything else since the connection is via bluetooth, it easily connects to my iPhone and my NordicTrac Treadmill, great product…!!

Accurate and Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is not super comfortable but it is better than straps with the larger rigid plastic portion on the chest. It stays in place very well while running. It is accurate and I've had no pairing problems or loss of signal. I have worn my phone in an arm band and in a running belt with good connectivity. Be aware of the Android 4.3 requirement. There is a list of compatible phones on the manufacturers web site.

Great Heart Rate Monitior
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Heart Rate monitor works flawlessly... i mainly use it with a Precor Eliptical, and i haven't had any issues - it connects with ease, and is very accurate. I have tried to use it with the Polar app and my Samsung Galaxy S4, but haven't had the same success (but have only tried a couple of times); Best Buy also had the best price for this model

Love the new technology/not always reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed using blue tooth technology as it is easier to download my exact calorie burn onto other apps such as fitness pal. My only complaint is the harder I work out it tends to stop showing my heart rate...very upsetting for me as I rely on this to be accurate do j know how many calories j can eat based on this feedback.

Great Heart Rate Sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the H7 heart rate sensor for about two months, and it has been working as expected. I haven't had any Bluetooth connectivity issues or problems with it reading my heart rate correctly. The strap is adjustable and fits comfortably around the chest. I use the H7 with Runkeeper. I'm not as happy with the Polar Beat app designed for it. Overall, I'm very happy with H7.

works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first HRM. I picked it due to the low Bluetooth feature. I had to remove and replace battery on the second use. Not sure why but it wouldn't maintain connection. It takes me a while to connect before activity. That could be user inexperience. But I am going to stick with it a while longer to get more familiar

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best investment! It gives real time info to the Polar Beat app which allows me to see how hard I'm working versus my perceived exertion. The polar apps are a bit redundant (you need Beat to see your workout and Flow to get the in depth info), but I like that they sync also with My Fitness Pal. It claims to work with RunKeeper, but only when you're using GPS. RunKeeper gives pretty awesomely detailed reports comparing time, distance, and heart rate. My only complaint is really with the apps, not the HRM itself. I bought this just before Apple released ios9, so I had a lot of issues trying to pair it with my ipod touch after the update, but once it got working it was awesome. To pair it, open the polar beat app and allow the app to turn on bluetooth, the go into the app settings to pair. It paired immediately with my Galaxy 5.

Great he monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use with my part f4 watch and it works perfectly. I feel the calories burned is motivating. Disappointed my set up doesn't sync with myfitness pal, which was one reason for replacing my sensor, but it does sync with the polar app on my iPhone. Either way, great product.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this product. Great for anyone to use with a smart phone! The only downfall is I will disconnect from app if you move a certain way, and I have not been able to reconnect it with the app unless I stop my workout and restart the app.
