My ears perked up when I hooked my Samsung to this beautiful sound bar. Polk has the expertise to create a sound bar that is not only elegant but family affordable. Very easy to set up. The Voice feature is my favorite. There are 3 levels to help you hear people talking over all the background stuff. I would have to give this a 5/5. Even "CNET" liked it. Even comes with an Optical Cable! It is wall mountable too. Thank you Polk & Best Buy. Love the different colored micro LED lights to show each mode. Very nice idea! Excellent.

Nice product for smaller set up

I bought this speaker online and on sale. It was for a bedroom so I didn't spend a lot of time going to stores to listen to different sound bars etc. I do wish I went with something a little bigger due to the bedroom being large with high ceilings. Sounds great but better for smaller set up's I'm sure. Nice quality and nice sound of course from Polk. Just go see it first if your room is big.

    Nice when it works

Sound is the best thing about it - the settings for - theatre - music types - movie - voice all work decent for different sounds - and subwoofer worth 4 stars. Remote poor range 6 feet is about it -2 stars. Syncing very easy - 5 stars. Quality of looks and materials- 5 stars. The auto off feature is bad - it shuts itself off when the sound bar senses it’s not being used - 1 star. I will explain- this is my second Polk sound bar that has gone bad sense Xmas of 2017. It is now Nov 10th 218. Just like our first one it will shut off on its own when ever it feels like it. I purchased the extended warranty thank goodness for this. But considering the first one failed at only 3 weeks is sad. I went to exchange it for a replacement and than had to repurchase another extended warranty- once you use the warranty you need to repurchase a new extended warranty to cover your new one for another 2 years, But the store didn’t have mine in stock so I needed to wait 4 days to get another sent to my store, I have owned other brands with no issues even after 5-6 years of use. I do not recommend this period. Thank You

    Better than TV speakers

Doesn't get very loud. Subwoofer is incredibly weak. Subwoofers often loses Bluetooth connection, very annoying. This is an issue I've read about regarding Polk speakers from like 2009 so apparently they are not trying very hard to fix it. It's definitely an upgrade to the TV speakers but I replaced this with two Polk T50 towers and subwoofer for only $350 and the increase in sound quality and volume is well worth the extra money.

Nice soundbar, meets our needs- bought open-box

The pros: clear crisp mids and distinct highs, no overwhelming bass, simple set up, dialogue boost, bass control on remote for separate sub-woofer, price. The cons: no HDMI just optical or 3.5 jack, can't be controlled by my TV remote, so another remote is needed, remote for the soundbar is mediocre at best. Overall, we like this sound bar very much, despite its flaws. Mind you, it is far from an audiophile experience. But, it has quite good sound for what it is- a low-end product from a quality audio firm. If you are into the boosted thumping bass of many of the sounbars on the market today, particularly in the sub $200 range, this is not for you. Read a bunch of reviews and then decide.

Price is the obvious selling point. The subwoofer is inadequate, very minimal output. The sound bar doesn’t sync with tv so I can only use bar(could be my tv, not sure). The sound bar is very finicky. It’s eaither way too loud or you can’t hear it at all. The remote is terrible. Only works when you are about 4-5 feet from the bar. I gave it two stars sticktly for the price.

    Just Don't Understand

I can't figure out all of the great review's unless I got a defective unit, the ONE I got had no bass at all, never even sounded like it had a sub connected, sound was tiny and terrible, could not even find out online how many watts this thing was supposed to be. This was a Christmas gift to replace a 300 watt LG sound bar I've had for about 4 yrs., I wound up hooking my LG back up and sending this thing back to Best Buy, my opinion is this is a terrible sounding cheap system, I thought Polk was supposed to be a good name but this was my first and last purchase of this name, overrated.

    remote problem

The sound was fine, but I consider it a huge flaw that the included remote is the only way to control the thing, as far as I can tell (after lots of looking). That's a daily inconvenience I don't want to put up with. I exchanged it for a JBL Bar 2.1 (about $70 more), which understood the LG remote right out of the box.

So, good sound and such, but the remote is making me CRAZY! The sound bar will not work with my TV or any other remote. The remote that comes with the system only works within about 4' of the sound bar. I have to stretch from my couch to control it. TERRIBLE.

I bought this to replace an LG that just didn't get the job done. I can here movies played on my BluRay now. Before with the old LG, some DVDs and Blu Rays just could not be heard. With this system, we seem to be having to lower the sound or walls vibrate.

Sounds decent, but has a glaring fault.

For what it is, and what it cost, it sounds decent, as far as sound bars go, but it has a serious design problem. The unit shuts itself off after 10 minutes or so, and resets the volume very low every time it shuts off. I understand this was designed for a TV, but I'm using it with a computer so I don't have constant audio non-stop, so it's always shutting off. I also use my computers volume control, so I have to turn the sound bar on, then raise the volume again, over and over again. The worst part, the auto shut off, and volume reset CANNOT be defeated. Because of that, I have to buy a different brand, like a Vizio where the auto off is very easily disabled. I read that some have set the Polk to only shut off after 4 hours by pushing the power button and volume down on the unit, which isn't a fix, but better, but it doesn't work on mine. I see the inability to disable the auto off and volume reset to be an absolute deal breaker.

This device never integrated with my TV requiring me to rely on the separate remote to even change the volume. Worse, every time I turned it on I had to set the enhanced audio. I should have returned this a week after I got it

For a rather inexpensive sound bar I thought this sounded great in the store. Once I got it home and set up I discovered the crossover on the sub is set way to high. So the sub basically buzzes constantly, even if you turn it down on the remote. I will say the mids and highs sound great from the bar itself.

unit fails to sync with 52" Sharp.... the remote, be ready to move within 4' to make it function to any degree...when using the remote, there is a substantial delay between remote usage and response of unit to remote adjustments... subwoofer or Bass, have to ask myself, where is the bass.. very little or no bass sound from unit... I've heard much better systems... totally disappointed with this acquisition... my Harmon kardon PC speaker system produces way better sound quality, and that system is 15 years old...

    Not user friendly

I bought this because it was recommended by the employee on duty. The problems are: first the remote, you have to be on top of the soundbar before the remote will work therefore it is useless; second, I bought it specifically to use with my phone (Bluetooth) and again you have to power it on manually before using Bluetooth. This is NOT a “wireless” device unless you think wireless is standing over the device pushing buttons DIRECTLY ON THE DEVICE. Do not buy this, it is garbage.

    POOR QUALITY SOUNDBAR

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We bought one and took it home and found out that the Bluetooth subwoofer was defective and would not pair with the Soundbar. The Soundbar itself sounds great. The remote doesn’t work very well, ( it is really week and unresponsive) We took this back and thought maybe it was just a fluke. Identical replacement also had a defective sub woofer. Apparently Polk is not too worried about correcting this problem.

    Limited Alexa Capabilities

Several Alexa features are not supported. Every time I try something besides playing music it says that it is not supported with this device. I can’t even change the name of Alexa to something besides that. Really annoying since I have a family member named Alexa. I could go on. The audio isn’t as good as I hoped either.
