A: Speaker and subwoofer are connected wirelessly, but they have a different technology than WiFi and will work together fine out of the box regardless of your home network set-up.
Q: Is the bass as good as bose speakers?
A: When purchased a 65" Samsung UHD. I forgot the model but I paid more for it than the standard model. I listened to the Polk and Bose sound bars and woofers in the store. At the time, the Bose cost $225 and the polk cost $150. My recollection is that the Bose woofer was somewhat larger and at equivalent sound levels (which they actually could equate fairly well) the bass was deeper and the sound appeared to capture the lows more completely. However, I was installing the TV and sound system in a relatively small room and I did not consider the extra $75 yo be worth it. As it turned out the Polk system is just fine for my purposes
A: It sounds like it has not synced properly.
Q: Does this sound bar eliminate the sound coming directly from the Tv?
A: Yes it does. Your tv should automatically know it’s hooked up and turn off the tv speakers
A: I have a DirecTV remote and it works fine. Go into settings on DirecTV remote and go to remote setup and select Polk. Worked on signal 1 and 2.
A: Yes you can. Select the Movie mode and voice adjust to 3 you should be able to reduce the background noise and improve on the commentary levels.
Q: Can I plug this into my cable box instead of the tv using the optical cable?
A: Yes you can but you would only hear audio while watching cable tv. You would not hear audio through any DVD, BluRay or whatever else you have hooked up to the TV.
