Do not see much difference between this sound bar and a Samsung sound bar purchased 4 years ago.

Would not buy this unit or recommend it to any one. Issues with the woofer. Popping sound coming from it on an intermittent basis and disappointed with the bass response. The Sound bar itself sounds good, but no bass to make you feel that you are in the movie or game.

Although this was easy to setup I am not happy with the pairing of my Panasonic tv remote. On 2 separate occasions the volume level max out while trying to increase one or two levels. Also the unit responds slowly to volume commands with any remote including the factory remote

    Excellent Sound, Easy Setup

This soundbar replaced an inexpensive 3.0 (two speakers and a separate center voice channel) soundbar paired to a Samsung 65" 4k tv. The difference in sound was quite dramatic, both in terms of increased bass presence and, surprisingly, voice quality. Overall, the sound quality is absolutely excellent. The setup is really easy. The bar itself is a low profile bar, about half the height of most bars so if fit neatly under the (freestanding) tv. Attach the supplied HDMI cable and plug it into an ARC port on the tv, plug in the power brick and you're ready to go. If you don't have an ARC port on your tv, plug into any HDMI port on the tv and attach the supplied optical cable. The subwoofer is wireless, just plug in the power cord and it pairs automagically with the soundbar. Easy Peasy! One nice touch, the bar comes preconfigured to work with several different manufacturers remotes, so our Samsung tv remote turns the bar on and off, adjusts the volume, and mutes, all without any setup. If your tv is not one of the supported brands, there is a learning function. The bass (subwoofer) can be adjusted from subtle to earthquake depending on your tastes. The sound clarity was really surprising, lots of details coming through that hadn't been noticed before. The biggest surprise was the voice processing. Voices, especially with a British accent, can be difficult to understand, but they are quite distinct and audible through the Magnifi Max. The Magnifi Max can play audio over Bluetooth or Chromecast and has ports for additional HDMI inputs. There is also a Ethernet port for network connectivity as well as WiFi. WiFi is setup through Google Home and the Chromecast audio works well (NOTE: I use an Android device). Bluetooth audio playback also works well. The bar can also be upgraded to a 5.1 system with wireless rear surrounds from Polk. Overall, a significant improvement over the bar it replaced and a vast improvement over the built in speakers. Excellent investment for anyone who wants richer and more detailed sound from their TV system. Highly recommended!

I've owned Polk speakers for 25 years and they were always ready to handle whatever I gave them. I'm sorry I didn't stick with my old speakers when I upgraded my TV system. This soundbar snaps, crackles and the separate bass unit pops all the time. A total disappointment and waste of my money.

Worst bass from a system I’ve ever had. It has a constant popping sound. The sound bar works phenomenally but the sub is horrific.

The speakers have a voice control box that doesn't provide much sound and the connection is not stable. The main bar goes on and off at random times as well.

First the remote control doesn’t work. Secondly you have to sit directly in front of the speakers not off to the side to Hear the movie you are watching.

First off the way this system is boxed is the way all electronics should b packaged. Open the back of the box and your accessories and everything is right there for you to access. Brackets for wall mounting are included. I replaced my older Samsung soundbar with this one and the Polk seems to sound much better. Does it sound like a true surround sound? No. I don't think that will ever be accomplished with just a sound bar, but I can feel different levels of depth in the sound thru the Polk...if that makes sense. The night mode voice adjust on the Polk is good for nights when the baby is in bed and you don't want the sounds of Deadpool bass blaring thru your speakers, but you still need to hear Wade Wilsons jokes. The sub-woofer has a clean bass sound and looks more appealing than the previous model I had. The wireless sub-woofer connected easily with the soundbar. No problems. The only thing that I don't particularly care for is there is 3 settings. Movie, Sports and Music. While my samsung cheapo soundbar had lots and lots of different options to fine tune the sound you like. Granted, with the samsung I always used the same setting for everything. So is it really that important? I have found that the movie setting works best on this system. I will eventually be purchasing the 2 rear speakers for this unit, but as of now this soundbar and sub alone are sounding great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a soundbar that you can add 2 wireless surround speakers to in the future, but isn't too picky about how many sound settings the unit has.

It’s ok, better than TV speakers, I would not buy again, sub is not strong and when raising bass level it pops. At 300.00 plus it is not worth it.
