Q: Is this system available as the 5.1 (on the Polk Audio site) that includes the SR1 rear speakers?
A: It's not available through Bestbuy as a package, but you can order the speakers separately.
A: Yes it does support ARC. That's the way ours is setup.
A: We had this exact problem, and took it back for warranty repair, as we purchased the 4-year Geek Squad warranty. They came back and said that the circuit board was not repairable, and gave us a new unit. However, that unit has stopped working altogether in less than four months. This soundbar is garbage.
A: Yes, it has hdmi inputs, so you could hook it directly to your DVD player
Q: is best buy going to carry the compatable sr1 rear speakers?? if so, when? thank you
A: Excellent rep at our local Best Buy indicated that unfortunately it's not happening... so we purchased online elsewhere. We had a great "Miracle on 34th St" type of experience and ended up purchasing elsewhere on the recommendation of the Best Buy associate. The interaction created a positive impression that will keep me coming back to Best Buy for my future tech needs.
Q: Can you use this soundbar with an external amp or do you have to use the built in amp?
A: You don’t need an amp. This thing will blow you out of your seat. I had an old head unit amp 100W but it wouldn’t have worked with it anyway. Besides, your phone will Bluetooth to it if you want to play music.
Q: Can you control the subwoofer volume separately from the soundbar?
A: Yes, it has its own volume settings, as does the voice. There are 3 volumes: soundbar, subwoofer, and voice (center channel)
