Polk Audio sounds amazing. The only issue we had is, that it was missing the optical cord required to connect it.

After purchase, I found out that music would stream through add-on external speakers but not the TV.

Has great sound and really improves your viewing experiance

The Polk soundbar and subwoofer are great. Wish the remote was larger because it’s slways lost. Glad controls on the soundbar are easy to use.

If you can wait for more music sites to become capable with this system, then this may not be what you are searching for. I subwoofer is good. PCs are compatible with this system. One great feature I like is that you can add speakers to this sound bar whereas, other sound bars your speakers are the only ones for your sounder

really good sound but not so easy to get set up correctly. You need to call Polk customer service tech support to get the correct setup.

Only thing i hate is the lack of bluetooth; you have to download an independent app to play music from devices. Minor issue overall.

Good sound, great buy. Very happy. Outperforms everything around its price range and some higher prices systems.

This is definitely a must. We were shocked by the difference when we first turned it on. Amazing!

Technically, I've found this Polk sound-bar to be perfect. But I want to highlight it's best feature for anyone who might be slightly hearing impaired. The "voice" button/feature allows absolute control; allows isolating the voice from background sounds. It's brilliant for our home; bringing out the voice for one, while allowing the overall volume to be lowered to normal for all, thus saving our hearing. :) A bit pricey, but well worth it.

The Polk SB1 is not capable of 5.1 Surround Sound even though it has a 5.1 decoder. In order to get Surround Sound you need the Polk SB1+. As a 3.1 SoundBar it works quite well. As a "Music Speaker" it's horrible. Sounds like the speaker was placed in a can. Always leave the speaker in "Movie" mode. If your considering getting one of these, make sure your getting the SB1+

Great piece of equipment has exceeded expectations

This was a bad purchase for my living room because: 1) Does not allow for auto volume (tv) adjustment. As a result, commercials were blaring. I am old and enjoy volume higher than most. This was insane. 2) I love bass, however, you cannot turn it down low enough at times or else you have to turn the whole thing off. That is the only options when you have people sleeping on different levels of the house, Room shaking at low volumes. 3) This model was already discontinued and a new model replaced it that fixed a few other consumer complaints (bluetooth, and ability to add surround speakers). Best Buy did not identify it as discontinued and i had to find out for myself when going on manufacturer website. I rarely return items because i research them before and i know what to expect. However, this system was returned quickly. I view it as defective as a model, not specific item.

The sound quality is not what I expected lower-cost sound bars had better sound

Sounded much better in the store, hard to program!!

Works ok as a standalone, but cannot be incorperated into a 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Surround. Talked to Polk Audio and they confirmed this. My Best Buy Salesman told me it would, but it will not. Polk says they will have that option by end of 2015

I got his sound bar for my gaming and tv viewing. its good for the my room size .

I love this sound bar. So excited to get the wireless accessories to go with it.

This work great for the first two weeks and stop working just like the first one did. I need the to call Best Buy again to get this one replaced.
