Q: This Polk audio sound bar seems to be mostly for music..how is it on HDTVs?
A: The sound bar has plenty of power for any room up to 16' x 16' I would suggest a full surround system in a room any larger. As for movie quality sound? I think it sounds better playing movies than it is with music. But it does very good with both! I have never had anything less than a full surround system before so this was a difficult move for me. But I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. I certainly do not miss the extra components I was able to shed :)

A: Yes it has two key slots on the back
Q: Is this unit the SB1+ or the older SB1 model?
A: It is the older SB1 model
Q: can this be combined with rear speakers for full surround sound?
A: You cannot add your own speakers to this. This item gives you the surround "feel". It can do 5.1 DTS decoding, and more. The other speakers that can be added are not for giving the unit a conventional surround sound setup.
Q: Will the sb1 connect to my media server?
A: No, you just download the app and connect. You can connect other speakers via the utility app as well.
Q: Can I hookup my dvd and stereo to this
A: yes on the dvd. no idea on the stereo.
