Good sound for movies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit cuts off sometimes by itself and sometimes will not turn back on from the remote. To much bass at lowest setting for news and talk shows.

Good sound but use instructions don't exist
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very hard to use and no instruction manual is available, not even online. Even the Geek Squad installers struggled and were shocked there were no instructions

Best in it's class!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start of lets just be clear, this is a sound bar so it is not to be compared to a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater system...duh! I decided to remove my 5.1 Bose / Yamaha surround system when I remodeled my family room. Of course knowing that I would be losing some sound features I have been accustomed to. So I went on a search for something that would as closely replicate what I have been used to. I tried out multiple different brands from $250 to the $1200 price range and I can honestly say this system was the best bang for the buck! It was very close to the $1200 system in sound quality but at a much lower $700 price point. Yet it's light years ahead of the less expensive models that I wouldn't waste my money on. I have it connected to a media center PC via digital cable that is very short unfortunately. Do your self a favor and pick up something longer than the 5' DO cable included if you need something longer. The sound quality is truly incredible considering the size of the sound bar. The highs are very crisp and clear and the voice quality is superb. It looks very sleek and incognito on the FP mantle which is a bonus. The base can at times overwhelm the sound bar but thankfully you can adjust volume / voice / bass separately on the mini remote. For an 8" down fire sub you get some seriously deep base...Impressed! I have not had any problems with connectivity or powering on at any time. It's pretty much a plug and play system. The only feature I wish it had, that it doesn't, is Bluetooth capability. I have not been able to use the WIFI connection as of yet because the system can not stay connected to my wireless router. This is due to my weak wireless router, not the sound bar! So over all I would give it a 4.5 because of the Bluetooth if I could but since that's not an option it gets a five star.

Great Soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this soundbar, it sounds really good and the sub actually fills the whole living room. Although the description on Best Buy says you can connect your bluetooth devices, you can not. This is Polk's Omni collection that uses DTS Play-Fi, meaning it uses your wireless network to play music. I just wish it actually had bluetooth. All in all, for the sound you can not beat this unit.

Excellent upgrade from the SurroundBar 360
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Polk SurroundBar 360 was problematic from the day I first set it up. The dvd player/controller was replaced multiple times; each unit had its own unique quirks. I decided to get something new once the SurroundBar shorted the sub - which was not originally included but an additional purchase. And I'd be a fool to pass up on the sale price. The SB1 was easy to setup; it's low profile was a much needed enhancement, and meant I no longer had to hold the remote high in the air for the TV to pick up the signal. yay! As soon as I installed the Polk app on my phone, it was simple to setup on my Wi-Fi network. A software upgrade was immediately downloaded, however a 2nd app needed to be downloaded in order actually install the update on the SB1. It would have been nice to have a single integrated app. But all that was easily sorted out. Once the update was complete, the unit immediately responded to my remote and has worked perfectly since. I doubt I will use the app to stream music, finding it easier to simply Chromecast it to the TV itself.

Best system for big sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a JBL Cinema 350 from Best Buy and the volume couldn't be controlled and the voices were drowned out by the background noise. Took it back and this system was on sale for the same price, and it is fantastic. The bass is incredible and can be controlled, and because its a 3.1 system, the voices are clear and also can be controlled. Highly recommend it, especially at the $399 price (a steal).

Rating for Sound Bar and S2's
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking for both a sound bar as well as a multiroom audio solution for my apartment. The Polk Omni line satisfied both of those needs better than I ever expected. I have the sound bar and 3 S2's. Setup was simple with the app and within minutes I had music playing throughout my place. I had a few questions and called the Polk customer service line and a live person answered the phone ready to assist me! Sounds a lot better than bluetooth and it's much more stable than Airplay. It was also a lot less money than Sonos. The App has lots of room for improvement but i am told they are working on constant improvements. That's one of the things I like about this system, it will never be out of date. The sound and bass on the sound bar blows away my old Sony 5.1 system, I actually have to be mindful of the neighbors. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Very good sound - easy to connect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ability to enhance voice quality, the wireless connection to the sub-woofer, and the remote control are all great. However, the adjustment is a little cumbersome. Also, with the sub-woofer on, even when the bass set at the lowest level it is still a bit much for shows with dialog. The sound quality is great for music.

Excellent Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was sold as soon as I heard the demo in Magnolia. The sound quality is impressive with crisp clear highs and tight deep lows. Setup was relatively easy with minor difficulty in applying the first update. As a plus the sound bar itself has a low profile and the system looks good.

Only last 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased December 2014 form BestBuy and it was easy enough to install. My Sony 6 speaker surround sound was outdated and I wanted something more streamlined to take it's place. I was very disappointed with the sound quality from the start and should have taken it back to BestBuy right a way. I decided to keep it and give it a chance. Two weeks ago while using the small cheap remote Polk supplies, the volume would climb to full and I couldn't turn it down without unplugging the power from the soundbar. Last weekend the soundbar volume would climb without even touching the remote. I changed the batteries in the remote (just in case) and the soundbar still had a mind of its own and the volume would climb to the max without anybody's help. I reinstalled my old Sony system and will search for another one later date. FYI, I tried to write a review on Polks website and they replied "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" Polk does not stand behind their products or do they care about their customers. I will never buy a Polk item again and you should steer clear unless you want to spend $700 for a 6 month use a subpar product. BestBuy have a lot better manufactures to choose from.

Impossible to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a recent purchase with a new Sony XBR65X810C. The sound volume goes from adjusted fine to barely able to hear, to ear shattering, all without touching the sound volume. I have been on the phone with Polk, Sony and Verizon. All were pleasant but unable to rectify the problem. I have tried connecting with the optic and analog connections, and gone through every setting in the TV and cable box. The volume is fine when using the builtin TV speakers. The middle channel constantly disappears, especially with a music show like the Voice. I can barely hear the singers. Adjust the middle volume way up, and I am jumping off the couch when the announcer comes back on, The sound is great when I don't have to constantly have to adjust the volume. I have another 55" Samsung with an Onkyo AV receiver and Definitive Tech towers. Sound never varies to where it has to be adjusted. And no comparison in sound, this setup destroys the Polk, but it should as considerably more expensive. Unfortunately the Polk bar will be going back. And it looked great.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a lower grade sound bar by Samsung. I'm very pleased by sound and the bass response from this system. I love how you can adjust the volume of the voices, other sounds and bass all separate. The subwoofer blends in well but has strong sound

Polk sounds good...but it still has a way to go.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tested this out for 2 weeks and returned it. I really wanted only the best with this set up, but I couldn't justify spending $757 bucks for this. It had to go back to best buy First off, let me start by saying it sounds great. Nice and clear sound and the sub will make the room go boom.. Setup is easy, only took 5-10 minutes. I put it in my living room and thought this would replace my Bose acoustimass 10 speaker set up that's hooked up to my Onkyo receiver. I was wrong. I listed to the Polk and Bose back and forth. Bose put the Polk system to shame. Here's the bad with this Polk system. Some music and tv shows sound distorted. When I would watch a recorded show on directv and fast forward it, the sounds bar shut off all the time. When I changed the channel, the Polk soundbar would turn off. Some shows would have no sound at all even though Polk was on. What gives? The book it comes with is pathetic. 4 pages. So I had to look on the Polk ap and see if there were any troubleshooting questions there. Nope but you can schedule tech support. This system is wifi only, no Bluetooth. If you want to hook it up to your receiver, good luck. There are other parts you can buy, but I didn't waste my time. This thing only can decode dolby digital...what no DTS?!? So I also purchased 2 Polk Omni S2 speakers. I figured I would use those as rear speakers in the living room. I soon discover that you cant connect these to the soundbar. What the heck? I check tech support website and sure enough it says there is no way to connect these speaker to the Polk soundbar. It says the soundbar already produces dolby digital 5.1. Uh, I thought the soundbar is a 3.1 channel system?!? How is that 5.1? I thought this would be a different version of the Sonos system at a fraction of the price. It is, but at least the Sonos soundbar lets you connect rear speakers to make 5.1. The Polk ap was neat to play with. But overall, the system wasn't worth it to me and it shut off all the time. That drove me nuts. My Onkyo receiver has Bluetooth built in and I can listen to Pandora, internet radio or music on my phone, tablet or computer. I thought about just putting Polk in my bedroom, but decided not to because of everything I mentioned. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this unit. I can answer any questions you have. To me, I don't think it's worth what they are charging for it.

More impressive than it has any right to be
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't going to be a knock your socks off super surround bar or anything. This is just a 3 channel set up with a center and a stereo pair with a sub. BUT! You can add more speakers AND the sub is wireless so you can stick it anywhere! It also has a microphone to do automatic time alignment with the sub signal. For it's price point, that's pretty novel. The BEST part about this is the ability to integrate it with the rest of your home via the PlayFi tech. It's easy to share over the wireless network in your house. Ours gets used constantly whether it's music during the day, video games at night or football on Sunday afternoons. It was so easy to integrate that now, when it's not on, it's missed.

Doesn't work, not worth the hassle carrying the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this system and it is back in the box less than an hour after getting home. The optical audio port won't receive a signal and although the wifi indicates the product is emitting a signal, it will not connect. I tried a wifi connection with multiple devices. Based on the other reviews on this product, this isn't anything new.

Lacks many features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't have a setting to sync the picture and sound. it doesn't have an eq. it doesn't have dolby or dts settings. The wireless add-on s2 speakers only work for music you cannot get tv movies or gaming with them. This system is sorely lacking
