These are great sounding speakers . Well constructed and very good looking. Very happy with them.

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the Signature line in BestBuy. What was unfortunate was the demo systems for the T- and S-series Polk products as well as the demo station for the 2 Klipsch lines they carry in-store were both of such horrific quality that you couldn't judge the speakers by the demo station. My iPhone actually sounds better (and I'm not kidding) than either demo station did. I've had Polk in the past, and decided to go with the Signature line. The salesperson accidentally put half of the T-line in my cart without my noticing (wow), and so I can say for sure (having tested them out before returning them for the Signature line) that the T-line is great, especially for the price. But the Signature line really does out-shine it. I couldn't be happier with the sound clarity and value. I went ahead and utilized my Onkyo TX-RZ730's autotune function before I bothered trying to manually set it up myself. Low and behold, it did a superior job to what I was able to accomplish manually. (Bass seemed low at first compared to what I'm use to...but if you trust in your modern receiver's ability to get it right, and give it a try for a few days, you'll likely find that you get more clarity and better response than you'd get on your own...an opinion I got from a pro.)

Great loud speaker, but needs to be paired with the proper sub. I bought the standard Polk 10” powered sub and it just doesn’t supply enough clean low end without sounding off. Planning on adding a second sub going with the Polk 10” that matches the rest of the signature series with the power ports. Happy with the purchase, but it would’ve been much nicer if the display at Best Buy was actually working so I could’ve made this decision before purchasing or before the 14day return period ended. Speakers needed a good breaking in before I could fully decide. Have these setup with the Polk S35 center channel, and S15’s for my rear in my HT setup. The highs are super clear and crisp, just need to even out the lows.

S55 Sound Excellent. I like the speak at the bottom of the speaker. The sounds is clear and the bass hit. I only have it on 20 on the volume of my Sony 7.1 atmos. Omg sounds good.

I purchased these speakers to replace my old Polk satellite speakers which worked very good for what they were. I wanted a bigger sound from the front speakers while watching movies and I can tell you, these speakers work great but would definitely recommend a subwoofer or 2 to give you that cinematic feeling. As of 11/15/19 I have listened to these in DTS, 5.1 and watched HD movies and the only complaint I have is that the treble is a little harsh. This could get better after break in. I have adjusted the treble with in the reciever and have made it better. I am running these on a Sony STR-DN1060 reciever that puts out 165 watts per channel and these guys can handle ALL of it. They sound good at low volume as well. If you have a big enough room and the extra $$$ I would recommend getting the S60 towers for a better all around sound. My room is 20x14 with a vaulted ceiling and a big opening and they fill the whole room very well. All in all I will say these speakers are great for music and movies and I am very happy with my purchase and I know you will be also. I will try to update this review after the break in period.

Initially I went and bought the Klipsch r26f and r25c, after a week with them I returned it when these Hit the shelves at bestbuy, I played both at the demo booth and felt that these sounded much more natural. The Klipsch were just to bright for my ears. Klipsch execution on design is amazing, but you dont buy speakers for looks. These has a retro style look on them, style may not be for everyone but it sounds amazing and a step up from the T series. I ended up buying the entire 5.1 set up and some in ceiling speakers from POLK for a complete atmos setup :)

I bought these as a birthday gift for my husband's gameroom. They are awesome and have a nice quality sound. The entire neighborhood can hear them literally when he turns them up. The speaker design is nice and sleek too. You will not be disappointed!! Great buy!!

Adds amazing sound to my living room. I couldn’t hear my old speaker like I can with these.

The speakers were easy to setup and the suggestion to use an extra set of speaker wires and remove the bridge between upper and lower inputs was worth the effort. These set of speakers create a nice high and low range of full sound.

These really sound great and the bass was more than i expected. I did end up buying the polk hts 12 sub but if you are in a smaller room you may not need it. Hearing them in the store does not do them justice. I'm planning on finishing out the system with the rest of the Polk signature line.

at first I was not sure whether or not to purchase polk speakers but then i had them installed by the geek squad in my lanau and they sounded great. i was thinking of getting bose but after listening to both the bose speaker and the polk speakers there was not much difference in the sound as a matter of fact i like the sound of the polk better so i decided to go for polk speakers then i wanted to upgrade my surround sound system from 5.1 to 7.1 surround so i decided to go for the polk s55 for my surround sound. they sounded great i had the geek squad do the install which i was very pleased with because they did a good job.

The Polk S55 Speakers put out a lot of crisp clear sound and have improved my surround sound experience!

My new Polk Speakers surpassed my expectations. Highs were crisp and distortion free in movies and music. Mids came in clean and did not overwhelm my Polk Center Channel and the Bass complimented my Sub-woofer ... made me feel like I was in the Theater.

I upgraded to this set and could not be happier they sound amazing, would buy the set again.

As well as great sounding it’s beautiful. Makes my living room beautiful and sounding great!

I have been a Polk Audio fan for many years. They have a sound that is smooth and not overly bright like Klipsch. They are also an excellent buy for what you are getting. The newer Signature series line are awesome. I purchased the S55 floor speakers, the S15 bookshelf, and the S30 center channel when Best Buy put them on sale for half price. They have not had time to break in, but sound awesome out of the box.

Purchased a system for the house after having one in the garage. Bought the floor speakers, bookshelf speakers, center speakers and 2 subwoofer speakers. The room rocks and they were all on sale. A very good buy !

Better sound than I expected very good quality fills the room with great sound.

I bought these on sale to replace my 12 year old polk speakers. I actually also purchased the Bowers and Wilkins Anniversary 600 tower speakers to compare. I expected the $999 Bowers and Wilkens to BLOW AWAY these Polk S55 speakers but they didn't. There was some difference but not worth the $$$ I played music, movies, other on both speakers, had friends and family listen to both and they couldn't really tell much difference. The BWs are GREAT and attractive speakers. If your a super serious audiophile and demand perfection get the Bowers and Wilkins. But if you just love great quality sound and want to save $$$ get the Polks.
