Needed something with small enough footprint to sit on top of wood valance above picture window. Separation is about 8 feet. They match up with my other Polk speakers just right.

Good value @ $79-Decent bedroom bookshelf speakers

Well made, but you don't expect full range from small bookshelf speakers. If you can add to your setup, these bookshelf speakers can really use the help of an added center channel speaker and a subwoofer. They should be set as "small" on your receiver for best tonal result.
