Needed something with small enough footprint to sit on top of wood valance above picture window. Separation is about 8 feet. They match up with my other Polk speakers just right.

I bought them for my central Home theater system and they are loud enough with no distortion. I love the quality and design to the point that I had to get 4 extra speakers for my gamin computer also.
