disappointing
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.first of all, I didn't purchase these speakers in July 2020 as it says - I bought them 2+ years ago, along with a matching center - i did this based on Polk's reputation & the sale price - i returned them after about 10 days - the sound was on par with my JBL bluetooth mini speaker - I can't imagine anyone being satisfied with these

Good price, but disappointing sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expected a little better quality from Polk. Sound is a little thin. Price was good but wish I had gone a different direction.

choosen over pioneer bs-lr22
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.there were three reasons why i chose the polks over the popular pioneers. 1- way cheaper when on sale ($60 - the pioneers did drop to around $80 a few months later though). 2- front ports. the pioneers are ported on the rear and these speakers we going to be placed against a wall for my computer system 3- pioneers on display sounded tinny. dunno if they didn't have it eq'ed correctly, but the polks sounded fuller and and less tinny. it may have been placement related issues. so for $60 it's a steal and i'm considering going back today and get them again on sale. i've had these for 6+ months now. the bass is pretty deep for such small speakers. at first i ran them without a sub and was pretty happy, but then after playing a few games i felt the need to feel the action. i had a 12" infinity sub upstairs and paired it with the bookshelves and i happy as can be. 12" feels a bit of overkill, and takes up a good amount of space but i've finally got a decent computer audio set up for a relatively low price (if you don't include the $500 i paid for the sub 12yrs ago, lol).

Don't buy!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these speakers at best buy The one speaker turned out bad, .03 ohms. Additionally this issue blew my receiver! Called Polk to handle the situation. The worst customer service in my life!!! Always respected Polk, now I will never be a customer, to the contrary I will not recommend them to anyone!!! Shame on a great c product falling victim to modern times. They just can't produce a quality product anymore! SAD!

DOA
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought to use with a polk sub that I've used for a couple of years. One speaker was bad out of the box. The one that worked was ok, but produced mediocre midrange.

Great bang for the buck from a proven company.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Caught these on sale for $49.99, plus the $10 mystery bonus reward Best Buy gave me. For under 40 bucks these can't be beat. Polk is a long time maker of quality speakers and these are great bookshelf speakers that serve great for surrounds. I particularly like that the backs are keyholed for easy wall mounting. Cabinet, grilles and badges are the same design as the Monitor II series, so these fit right in with my Monitor 70 Series II and Monitor 40 Series II speakers. Anybody on a budget could buy 4 of these and use them as fronts and surrounds. Coupled with a decent sub these would make a great budget system with a decent receiver. Highly recommended.

I'm impressed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Polks replaced a pair of RCAs with 12" woofers. Big deep bass was not expected out of them-that's what subwoofers are for. I have a powered sub and did not need those huge speakers anymore. My setup is stereo, not surround sound or home theater-receiver is just 2 channels and puts out 75 watts/channel.. I was worried about them not having enough mid bass, but there's nothing to worry about at all. They have almost as much as the big monsters they replaced! The mids and highs sound great. Right now they're sitting on top of the other speakers about 3 feet above the ground. I can't wait until I get some brackets to hang them on the wall-probably sound even better. Some bookshelf speakers are very pricey-several hundred dollars. But these sound great at this entry level price point. Later I'll get another pair to replace the Pioneers with 8" woofers, hang all of them on the wall, and have more space in this cluttered room. Wanna see some good pics-click on these Photobucket links. Not what I wanted but works fine.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these speakers thinking it was a done deal. Everything included, easy set up and then just relax. Turns out it comes with no wires, you need to purchase a receiver for a few hundred bucks, and only then does it work. I called costumer service and had a terrible experience. They wouldn't take it back cause it was after the 15days and only until they transferred me to the 6th representative was I made known about everything I would need to have them work!!! I will never purchase this brand again!
