I don't usually write reviews but I should since I read reviews prior to my purchase. I have owned a lot of speakers and hands down this is far the best speakers for the price range. Nice bass and trebbles. I'm glad I got it when it was on sale for 50.00 buck.

Quality can't be beat for price when on sale

Typically I build my own cabinets & crossovers for larger components such as for home theater usage i.e. towers, sub, center channel, etc. However, for my PC I decided to go with these budget friendly bookshelves, a Class-T digital amp running directly from the PC sound card, and 12" sub. I figured for the price they couldn't be beat & it saves me build time. IMHO out of the box they sounded a bit muddy with low/weakened highs that I don't normally see with soft dome tweeters & mids were a bit too mild for my taste, I suspect the crossover setup, but without possibly voiding the 5 yr. warranty and taking them apart I can't say for sure. I like my speakers fairly bright and pronounced, but not as harsh as you might get with some horn tweeters. Once I configured my EQ settings with my sound card and am slowly breaking them in they are starting to grow on me. So far they are handling everything thrown at them fairly accurately this includes FPS games, action movies, and all different genres of music. They are weak on the bass side as expected with almost any bookshelf speaker, but better than others at this price point. This doesn't matter to me much since they are being used in combination with a sub-woofer. I have cut the frequency off so these guys don't see anything below 90 Hz. Overall for the price that I paid on sale, 49.99, they can't be beat. Plus, they look as nice as they sound without distorting at a fairly loud volume level. Glad, that I finally decided to make my first Polk purchase with these models.

    Excellent Avg-Fidelity Studio Reference Monitor

For the past 25-30 years, my studio, in which I primarily produce telephone "message-on-hold" programs, has housed three sets of speakers of varying quality, including a set of Realistic Minimus 77 4" bookshelf speakers, which served the purpose of simulating the sound of my productions through a telephone speaker. Just this past week, one of my trusty 77's died and, with no more Radio Shack to rely on, I had to quickly replace the set. Purchasing the T-15's was a hasty decision that I made based solely on reviews, as the floor model at Best Buy was wired incorrectly and did not accurately demonstrate the speakers. However, for fifty bucks, I took a chance, brought them home, and turned them on. Like others have said, these are not high-end speakers. For my purpose, they are a little large (at 5 1/4"), but are capable of providing the flat, dry response I need for monitoring recordings that will ultimately be played over the telephone. What's more, when EQ'd a little more thoughtfully, they sound like they'd work pretty well in a small home theater setup, too. I will always miss my 77's, but life has to go on, and with my new Polk T-15's, I think I will survive!

    Great Speakers!

I wanted to switch from using large floor speakers to a smaller bookshelf type speakers so I could hang them on the wall and free up space. These just happened to come up for sale on black friday for 1/2 price, so I grabbed 2 pairs of them along with a PSW110 (also 1/2 price) and couldn't be happier. I set both pairs up to be front and rear surround. They put out a surprising amount of bass, good for normal use and some movies, but not that huge booming sound that you want while watching a movie with explosions and the like. Its nice though because I can turn on and off the subwoofer and watch something or play a game late at night or early morning and still get nice bass without waking people up, which I couldn't with the floor speakers putting out all the bass. I never had used Polk before but always heard they were good, and I couldn't be more pleased getting front, rear and a sub all for under $250 on sale (not sure if I'd be as blown away if I paid full price as there are a lot of nice speakers in the $500 range). I plan on getting a smaller pair of Polks for the rear to complete the 7.1 set up

I jumped on the opportunity to purchase these for just $50 during a sale, and it may have been the best decision Ive made in a while! The sound is literally amazing, I am using these as the only speakers for a single room stereo system, and they truly deliver excellent sound across all ranges. They deliver on power too, so whether you like quieter music or you want to make your neighbors angry, they can do it all. Amazing speaker, outrageously low price, could not be any happier!

I just purchased 2 pairs of these speakers, and could not be happier. I use them for a small room, 5.1 surround sound theater, but they are also great for music. There is good separation between the highs and lows, and they have a surprising amount of bass. Paired with a good center speaker, they fulfill all my needs. For $70 a pair, you really can't go wrong. I would buy them again.

I bought these on sale to go in my shop/garage knowing Polk has decent bass even in their small speakers. Hooked up to an old AV receiver they sound great. They have a recess on the back to slide over a screw which made hanging them easy. I'm waiting for them to go on sale again so I can get a second pair.

I was looking to upgrade the sound of my daughters keyboard. Every Music store we went to had bookshelf like speakers but were way over priced. I remembered had a receiver i hadn't used in several years so i went to bestbuy to see if bookshelf speakers were available at a reasonable price. These T15s exceeded my expectations and sound fantastic. Hopefully my daughters piano playing sounds as good as the speakers soon! I will most likely buy more of them when im puting together my home theater.

I bought these speakers at Best Buy on 12/20, my birthday. The day before I had bought some Infinity Bookshelf Spealers, but I returned them because the tweeter was too shrill sounding. I like my music balanced and clear. I saw these and took a chance after reading many reviews; I am so glad I did. These little speakers are a great edition to my Pioneer system and I am now doing a full research on Polk products as I prepare myself to invest more fully in their product line. Great deal, great sound!!!

These speakers have a good range and a surprisingly warm, full sound and still do a good job with the highs. For less than $100 they are a good value. I compared these to the Pioneers, which were on sale at the time, and these sounded so much cleaner all the way around. The bass is pretty good, and with my subwoofer, they sound fantastic. These are part of my 7.1 surround system, and they really livened up movie watching, but sound good when just listening to music as well.

I was wanting a good sounding system for my basement. I was sold on the Bose 301s but the store had none in stock so I decided to get 2 pairs of these polks. I have Polk floor speakers upstairs for my theater system and love them, but I was skeptical about these bookshelf units just because of the price and size. I have to say, these little speakers rock. 4 of them placed around my basement is great. They have good bass (for such a small unit) and clarity is crisp. I'm very glad I didn't spend $329 on just 2 Bose speakers. Great sound for the price here, can't go wrong with Polk, as a brand overall! Very happy!!!

So much better than a soundbar or HTIB

    Posted .

Anybody considering a soundbar or home theater in a box should just say no. I grabbed these for $49 on cyber monday and a Denon avr-1513 and just running them as a 2.0 system, it sounds better than any HTIB or Soundbar you'd get for twice the price. I'm no audiophile, but I think bigger is just better. Sleek soundbars and little satellite speakers just can't compete with a proper sized speaker. These were a steal at $49, but I think they'd be a happy bargain at $99 tooo.

I bought a surround sound amp without speakers since I was going to use my high quality speakers for the main front speakers, but I didn't have any good back speakers. I had some cheap one ways so I hooked them up but they were tinny and couldn't handle the 100 watts per channel. I looked at what they had at BEST BUY and the Polks were in my price range and they sounded good. I took them home and hooked them up and what an improvement! All of the sound effects in high tech movies like Star Wars are fantastic! They look great and sound great. I am very please with my investment in these speakers.

I have a 4 speaker system and bought these Polk speaker to replace 2 that had seen better days. I was completely surprised at good they sounded and how they matched my other speakers. Held off for a long time before I replaced the old speakers and now am really enjoying the sound quality of these Polk speakers. They are little gems!

These units are much less than others, like Bose, but sound very good. They can be used as primary speakers for a small system; I use them with my TV and my CD/DVD setup. They are mainly designed for bookshelf use or for the add-on speakers in a surround environment, but they look good enough and have enough sound for a decent living room. I put them on floor mounts and that works pretty good.
