I planned to use these speakers as rear surround speakers. I set them up as mains for testing purposes. Man do they sound great for the money.

I'm using a pair of these in a bedroom as stereo and TV speakers. The sound is crisp. For my purpose they provide plenty of output power. The only draw back for me is that even in a small room I need to add a sub-woofer which was unexpected.

I am very pleased with my purchase of Polk Audio 5-1/4 Bookshelf Speakers. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a pair of stereo speakers for my young grand daughter. These speakers sound great and look great. There is nothing cheap about the sound or appearance of these speakers.

Best sound for the price!! I have my bose 10 speakers in my 7.1 sorround sistem and this complement perfect!!

I purchased these speakers as a set along with Polk Audio floor standing, center chanel and sub woofer. These I use as the rear surround in an 18x24 room. They would probably work well as the front speakers in a smaller room or, if you just don't want as much punch from the front. I am running them with a cheaper Yamaha receiver and am VERY happy with the quality and sound I am getting from movies and TV. The quality is not as good playing music through Bluetooth but, I haven't read a review on any surround system that said it was. And, to be clear, it's not that playing music is horrible, just not as good as movies. When playing classic rock, which I prefer, it is still quite good. Could possibly be better though AUX port but, haven't tried that as I like the freedom of movement. So, obviously not that bad!!! If you are looking for a surround system that has great quality and won't break the bank, do yourself a favor and start with Polk Audio speakers.

These speakers are in one word, awesome! The sound quality is great and I watch more tv/movies because of them. I love to show them off as well so I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for upgrades to their current set.

Don't let their compact size fool you. Great sound, takes all the power I gave them and was good enough to p*** off the neighbors!

These are excellent speakers for the price! I originally bought a pair for my surround system and liked them so much, that I bought two more pairs! I have no complaints! They are top notch!

I was doubtful if they was worth purchasing. I got them on sale and im glad i bought them. They sound amazing. I know you wont regret it like.

These speakers will get the job done. I had them connected through my Polk psw 10" powered sub and they had a decent quality. They'd get louder if hooked up to an actual amp or receiver but the sub worked just fine for me.

These speakers are great for under $100. I am using them as my front channel on my surround system.

I live in a multi-family dwelling so I'm not able to play very loud music, but these small speakers do exactly what I had hoped; nice quality sound at an affordable price.

I read so good review and thought I might try and upgrade my old speakers, these are really powerful speakers and really good build quality.

These are just what we needed. we were running out of room and needed good sound in compact space and that's what we got

My wife said "Get rid of those big speakers in the living room." I had been using her vintage Fishers(new drivers) as the main L/R speakers for a home theatre system. They were too large and dated for her new decor. These had equal/better sound. and were small enough to partially hide. They're not audiophile quality, and I wouldn't pay full price for them, but at a "deal of the day" price, we're both happy!

I went to best buy becuase I had really old speakers and couldn't hear alot of sounds from them got these and I can hear everything now!

I "shopped out" this purchase ALL over the internet; I read dozens of reviews. ... I purchased these Polk Audio - 5-1/4" Bookshelf Speakers from Best Buy, because my local BB store (a true "flagship" store) is less than 4 miles away. ... These speakers were in stock and ready to be picked up in less than an hour! One of my most critical decision points (besides really good audio performance) was the height of the speaker's "cabinets"/boxes. - My shelves are "fixed", and a 10.63(+/-)" height was just right to fit them into my bookshelves. The Polk Audio reputation does mean a lot to me, and considering ALL the other competitors' speakers I looked at in this "purchase decision, shopping process", only the Polk Audio T15 speakers met ALL my criteria. ... Also, I was very glad that these speakers have such a large presence in the market that there were many, MANY reviews available to help me clarify the details that I could not find the answers for on BestBuy.com. They've been hooked up for less than 20 hours of running time now, but SO FAR, I'm amply impressed with how they sound, and I'm sure they WILL only get better after they've been fully "run in", some 20 to 60 hours of operating time from now. Finally, you may be interested to know that I purchased these Polk Audio - 5-1/4" Bookshelf Speakers as upgraded, replacement, front speakers for my bedroom home theater system. ... My new T15 speakers replaced a venerable, old pair of Yamaha NS-A328 home theater "satellite" speakers, and they are hooked up to a Yamaha HTR-5450 (500W RMS (Total)) Natural Sound AV Receiver using 16 AWG Rocketfish wires (- please see my review(s)). I hope all the opinions and information I have provided here will be useful for your "purchase decision, shopping process".

Bought it on sale to complete the speakers set for my 7.1 pioneer system which had a 5 speaker set from Yamaha. These speakers works just fine with the Yamaha speakers. The size of these speakers is a bigger than the rest of the speakers in my system therefore I am using them as 2 front speakers in my system and the sound is good.
