Very good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For a while I had a problem with distortion of the sound from my cheap rear surround speakers, and nothing I tweaked could eliminate the issue. So when these speakers were on sale I picked them up as replacements. Let me say first that they are really too large for most people to use as surround speakers but for me they fit fine. Even better, they allowed me to lower the surround level which eliminated the distortion problem but they are still putting out enough volume to do the job. Though I am not using them as regular stereo speakers I believe that they would be very nice speakers for a small room set up andvI will probably buy another pair for my office when they go on sale again.

More than good enough

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.polk audio bookshelf speakers are one great sound - pressure is wave absolute - as an ancient audiophile, i have had speakers that have been magnificent like wharfdales to epi's, infinity's and bose901 series ll - for space requirements - these are the best for price and more - i highly recommend these ones - you cant go wrong, push these puppies thru a denon or a yamaha even a mcintosh or bgw - they can hold the rms

Took me about 20 min to set these up as surround rear speakers on my 9.1 Onkyo system. Clicked on auto calibrate and I was good to go.
