I have to admit i was a bit skeptical about these speakers. I have built my own floor-standing speakers, i have a home theater sound system that has all the qualities of a professional theater. i was raised listening to expensive speakers but yet, these tiny little speakers pack all the qualities for what they are. Right out of the box the sound is not quite great, but give it time. i played a continuous track of bass at moderate volume while doing work away from the speakers for around 4-5 hours just to get the cones and the foam enough time to acclimate and loosen up. This did it!!! i was now listening to what i could only describe as studio quality speakers. I have them in the basement in my home gym and they're paired with a Polk 12" Sub. The Highs are crisp, the Mediums are solid and they bass is quite enough for someone that doesn't require that punch, I do and that's why i paired them with the 12" Subs. If you're looking at these speakers stop thinking about it and do yourself a favor and order them, you won't be disappointed, just make sure you give them enough time to loosen up before you judge them.

A good set of mini speakers able to manage large volumes with distinct variations in sound levels.

I love these speakers I bought them when they were on sale for 54 bucks for the pair. I have them mounted on my wall and for now they are my only speakers. So for being my only 2 ( with subwoofer) speakers it has great sound. I turn the volume up really loud and it can hold its own. Undistorted sound. If you can pair it with the 220 watt Polk subwoofer..

Been looking to upgrade my theater sound system speakers for a year been looking at Polk during that time then I checked before Father's Day and the price was cut so I pulled the trigger. These sound great and also purchased the center channel speakers. These this sound so much better than my old Sony cube speakers.

I use these at rear speakers in a 5.1 system. Very clean sound and surprising frequency range. I think they would make a very good set for a small room. I would have like better mounting options. The key hole is not as easy to work with as a threaded mount

Sound is good for such a small size speaker. Fit the bill for what i needed them for, and take up limited space.

Much better than the entry level Yamahas I had. The sound is much better. Nice price.

I did my research and not to many good reviews on them but I've been a Polk audio fan since the 90.s and have found them to all be awesome speakers for home theater so I bought these at BestBuy hooked them up and wow even before their break in period they sound phenomenal good highs and midrange great separation for 5.1 and I go them on sale at best buy for79$ man I scored big time thanks BestBuy for the sale thanks Polk audio for making great speakers

I love the speakers they have a nice sound. They could use a little more bass but works well for what I use them for. I only had a small space to work with and they work perfectly. Now I can listen to my LP and remember the good old days.

Using these as rear surround speakers. Major upgrade from my previous surrounds - loud, clean sounding. Handle plenty of power from my Denon AVR-S750H receiver. A great speaker made even better by getting on sale for $50 over Black Friday!

I purchased these for my 15 year old plasma TV. I had planned to purchase a new TV with all of the new features. Now I may delay my TV purchase. I have great video and now super audio.

I purchased this as an Open Box item with an added 10% off. The Polk name brings quality, but they were even better than expected. I would have been very happy paying full price, just lucked out. I paired the with a new Yamaha receiver and a Pioneer subwoofer. I'm thinking about getting another pair for replacing my older surround sound speakers.

good price and good quality for a small living area

I bought this pair of speakers to go with an Insignia receiver for my office at work. They work fine for an office that is 10 x 15. I did not expect them to deliver the performance of my home stereo speakers. There is little lower range. For the price I paid I am satisfied. If I were in an more secure environment (there have occasionally been thefts from our locked offices), I would probably have gone up to the next level of a Bose system with a sub-woofer.

Great choice for economical speakers for area where you have limited space. Large sound for small speakers.

These speakers sound really clear and the price was very reasonable for it's good sound. I am very satisfied.

These are great speakers. I purchased them as bookshelf, but mounted them to the wall with a 7.2 system and they get the job done. They aren't very heavy and sound great. Excellent for the price.

This Polk bookshelf speakers completes my cinematic sound effects when i watch movies , the sounds that even a needle dropped you will hear it its so nice to hear your just like in a movie theater , great sounds great experience , luv it !
