The sound is great for the highs and was the perfect solution for her. One thing to think about is, if you are looking for a full range in the sound you might want to pick up a sub.

Great sounding speaker for the price

Good surround speakers

I think their min freq response goes down to around 60hz too. That's awesome for a small 70$ bookshelf speaker.
