If you leave the mount fully extended so the screen sits up off the base, there is a SLIGHT rattle while you drive. Its actually more noticeable when the screen is off. Its not enough to distract you by any means, but its there. But if you drop the screen down so the bottom of the screen is touching the base, there is none at all. But I love the mobility and having more options, and not having to worry about the screen falling off my windshield depending on the temperature.

This mount works great. Wish I could say the same for the gps.

Works good on flat surface

Unfortunately the dashboard does not have a large enough flat surface for the friction mount to be useable. However, it works great in my Toyota Camry!
